It's now official... 17 Sharks (ex)players handed notices by ASADA (or now known as ASAGA), including NSW'kers captain Paul "Grub" Gallen.

I'd like to see some punishment at club level too. Loss of points, fines, flogging with wet noodles.

I would just cop the 6 month suspension to be honest with you. It would still mean I could play the next year and hopefully a full season and also get all this behind me.

I personally feel sorry for the Sharks and their players that have been victimised by scummy club doctors and officials. If they willingly took these substances and knew what they were then it would be a different story but it seems like they had no idea what they were and took them in trust that those giving them knew what they were doing and were legal. There should still be a suspension but only a short one as they weren't aware.

Message to Queenslanders who will bring Paul Gallen into this; you guys aren't clean skinned yourselves.

It's a shame Gallen won an Origin. If he is indeed a systematic drug cheat, the **** didn't deserve it.

As a professional athlete, it is their duty to fully understand what it is they are taking. If they weren't sure, they should've asked somebody who did ..... which i'm sure some of the Sharks players did anyway.

And who are all these Queenslanders who you say are guilty as well ??

So they have finally revealed what we knew ever since ASADA named the sharks as targets. Gallen clearly is a cheat and this just confirms it. He went from being a decent, mid range forward, to an 80 minute machine that never tired. It was fucking obvious and im glad as hell he has been named.

However, the fact it took this long just makes it look like the NRL had ASADA hide this as long as they could so Gallen could play origin and finish the season. I bet he gets either no suspension, or a crappy 6 month suspension. Knowing gallen, he will fight it as long as he can so he can go on the 4 nations, do his boxing match and then will take the 6 months, ruling him out of the first few months of footy with the Sharks, which, lets be honest, he doesnt give a shit about. Hes a professional origin player, Sharks are a hobby to him

Its fucking stupid that the off season counts in the suspension too. As AP said to me, its like getting a 2 day suspension from ur office job, that starts saturday and ends sunday. What a load of shit.

But to all the blues out there. SUCK SHIT. Ur captain and hero is a drug taking shit ****

Why does Sandor Earl get a longer suspension when he was the only helpful one of the bunch? Could he sue the NRL and/or ASADA if others are given a shorter ban?

Gallen has always been a top player I can never really remember him having a bad season. Past history of Queensland players in hot water for incidents away from the field (Wendell Sailor so to speak) yet many short minded and ignorant people from up here how their little darlings would never get involved in dirty stuff or any wrongdoings.

I'm pretty sure Sandor was a distributor. That's probably why he got a longer sentence.

racking up a couple of lines of blow is hardly comparable to systematic performance enhancing injections.

My understanding (correct me if im wrong), was that Earle got charged with trafficking. But trafficking is not as bad as it sounds in some cases. Drug trafficking, by definition, is travelling with drugs on you. In Earle's case, he bought them from a "dealer" and then drove to a doctor who administered them to him. That itself counts as trafficking. It's ludicrous. The sharks players wont get done for trafficking because the doctor administered them on-site. The players never had to travel with them
