Problem I see with this, is that some tackles can be worse than others without resulting in a HIA and vice versa. E.g. dumping a player on his head (maybe not result in a failed HIA, but should be a sin bin) vs a player falling into a tackle (which can be more innocent, but result in a failed HIA).
This seems to me like its going to be another failed attempt at a blanket/black and white rule, which will likely be abused, and in reality just needs common sense applied in these situations...
Short is the least fraudulent, but still shouldn't be in the side.
Unfortunately the selections are starting to just give away test and ODI caps like we did for many years with little success. Connelly playing test or ODI cricket is an absolute farce, and McGurk is a genuine park slogger.
