Mariner, like Piakura never really earned their spots. They were handed it way too early. If Gos and Shiba have out trained, shown more dedication, bought in more, than in good with sending the message regarding what will be rewarded. Though at some point, talent does overwrite that and it can look unfair

He's been leading missed tackles since his time at broncos, so it's well known across the league at this point. I think at times it's due to him going up high trying to slow down the backrower and wait for help, but gets bumped off / pushed back... like those JT tackles where he gets pushed back front on but drags his hands with him and sometimes the ball comes out with him. Leads to a lot of missed tackles in the stat sheet though. He's not alone in that stat though with Ezra, Foran...
