[2025 Trial] Broncos vs Bulldogs

A lot of errors in that first half and execution was off in the first 20mins... but all of a sudden Bhunt got it clicking and we started putting on some tries and put away the errors.

Zero points at half time is also a good sign... although Dogs have been pretty trash in attack and dropping the ball as much as us.

Time to get the first graders off and work towards round 1

Kobe pretty much locked in lock IMO
The challenge for us, is he has big boots to fill - Patty is regularly a Rep in that position and has won at least 1 if not 2 Lock of the Year. If it brings Patty's game down, is it worth it?

If he doesn't step over the ball (which I've seen a dozen times this game, not called) and he had a damn good half - two really good gutsy runs out of trouble. Solid, fit.
Some nice reads in defence as well... nothing crazy as yet, but they were getting up as a group on the edge when needed

Our defence looks fuckikg supreme.

I'm trying not to get excited as it's just trials but defence wins premierships and the only time we've let in tries all off season is when we've gone "ah, games over anyway". Unbelievable defence and resilience, complete opposite of last year...

For sure, I actually think he has value playing off Reyno or Ben.
It’s when he’s partnered with Ezra that it’s a shit show.
His best game last year was with Reynolds against the tigers I think. He just focussed on running and scored a couple of tries. He has good pace.

Paix not as dominating as last week, but perfectly adequate. I have a couple of minor niggles with his service, but he's a big step up from Billy. I think Mozer is a bit more cerebral, if you could say that about a hooker, but Paix is more physical.

He's done enough to earn the 9, imo.

Billy would be gassed by now. He hasn't lost any step.
