Because I like torturing myself,
Just watched the press conference...
it is an absolute punish to watch Kevie's press conferences.
- This "coach whisperer" BS has to go, think positively to yourself and your team, but making cringey statements at pressers... its embarrassing... honestly If I...
Dont worry about the mam/ref trip
Whats more glaringly obvious is that this team is just not up for it in 2024.
They are trying hard, but all teams try hard in the NRL.
Something isn’t fundamentally working this year in D , and our attacks been mediocre and disjointed this year.
Injuries to...
I just don't get Capewell > Fifita.
I understand why NOT picking Fifita originally, but to select Capewell > Fifita doesn't make sense to me ... especially since he kept Kafusi as well.
Just my 2 cents, hopefully Capewell goes out and has a blinder!
100 Agree with this.
Give it a real crack this year, but considering Jock will have played majority of the season at 7, put him on the bench (aka luai / cogger in 2023 GF)
Terrible team selections in terms of positioning; also the Aussies are not as keen on this series compared to the island nations and NZ IMO.
I don't blame them, its a random series that was put on.
I know the saying "any time you put on the green and gold bla bla" but that does just not...
The play was on but we definitely needed to calm our farm.
It was getting erratic a couple of passes before too… so just needed to take the tackle for the next play.
Truth
However, I think just mentally...
I feel like if we are taking the Panthers again in the GF in 24... and lets say we are up by 10 with 20 to go.
Panthers players are thinking "Remember what happened last year" ... they will just have that 1% edge.
Only if its 2024... 2025 and beyong...
Perfect back up option IMO
It's good, we will need him during origin periods, covering niggling injuries, etc.
Knock on wood, but he will also be a great backup option if one of our outside backs goes down with a lengthy injury.
(IMO, at a minimum we need walsh/staggs/cobbo in the GF...
If you see the footage / photo;
- you can tell Mitch was anticipating that EXACT play, he sensed Herbie might tap it back
- Walsh, not sure what he was doing... I think he just lost focus
- No idea why Herbie didn't just catch the ball, he was hardly under any pressure
coulda / woulda / shoulda
Don't 100% agree but I feel ya... I'm taking the loss pretty bad... having my ups and downs.
It's just been a LOOOOOONG time ya know?
I think carving up won't be a problem but we have too many errors in us, we were terrible with our handling errors in the GF.
Im OK with errors while making...
I agree
We are a much better team now than that era. 100%
I think it is more the many variable factors that can play HUGE parts:
- Do we get 'lucky' with injuries again?
- Do we come 1/2 again and win finals week 1 again?
- Do we come 3rd/4th this time and lose week 1?
- If we get to the...
Disagree there, team comes first.
You pick the best 17 for the game.
Oates is Bronco for life, winning the GF would have still been a huge moment for him as a Bronco. So it definitely would still have been right. Perhaps a bit of a shame but that is why you have to NAIL these GFs. 2015 and...
I thought Walsh too - he was our best 'overall' player.
Haas is legendary - but he has to go out and do a prop's job. Considering our last 3-4 seasons, he deserved it as we were shocking on the field.
Walsh has to go out there and influence the result and win games... it has been a LONG time...
I hate this whole 'hip drop' tackle hysteria that has been going on in the NRL over the last couple of years.
The game is going that fast... I don't understand what they expect the defense to do... anyway;
I know opinions are divided on it so I don't want to start a raging debate on it or...
Yep
At the end of the day, this is essentially why I don't like this play... I just feel like its a "desperate" play.
Perhaps usable at 0-0 , sometime in the first half, etc.
Definitely don't see a huge advantage of it late in the second half when the game is on the line.
As I mentioned...
I love Oatsey, and really heartbroken for him for 2015... he should have a ring.
Unfortunately that is life and that is footy.
I'm really glad he had Origin 2022 game 3... fond memory for his latter half of his career.
Overall, I agree with the above:
I wouldn't sugar coat it but I would...
Im not a fan of the short drop out either, however I believe a variation of it may work.
1. Should be used for the "hail mary" (i.e. game is absolutely almost over, and you just need a "football god" moment)
2. It should be the low punt drop out straight to a front rower so they might fumble...
Yeh good to see some of the OG ppl are still here!
It’s fantastic
I don’t think I recovered from post 2015 to be honest, we all know what happened after that…
Horrific final in 2016
Another melb demolition in 2017 and 2018-2021, basically felt like a tigers supporter 🤣
Still watched 90% of...
Classic!
I had a very similar experience, I was overseas at the time and couldn't watch it live, so I had ignored my phone all day, jumped on the PC to watch it and the bloody WINDOWS OS news feed thumbnail had JT in the crowd smiling after the game...
I quickly reacted however I deep down I...
At the end of the day, it was definitely a mad tilt in the last ten minutes.
I think every Bronco fan had a sinking feeling at 24-20 and this is where the mental scars of 2015 come in (for us fans)
I don't know if we can handle another GF with a loss like this... that would be too much...
