Disagree - no difference between 1 and 2... not top 4 altogether. That has always been the iffyness with a top 8 system... Is 100k enough of a carrot to fight for 1? I say bump it up to 20, perhaps 300k and then we're talking. Still... a lot better than the McIntyre system IMO... at the end of...
Slater has just grown exponentially as a player IMO. Without a doubt MVP of the past two years or so. He just left Hayne out in the dust - I think Slater became the player that every NSW fan wanted Hayne to become.
It's the way forward boys.
RL will always need a balance between tradition and modern times but I think corporate privatisation of teams is one way forward for our game... unless people are happy with slow growth...
Not really controversial but aim to completely privatise the game. I'm really keen on certain traditional parts of the game but I'm all for NRL to head towards corporatism... Samsung Broncos etc.
Conference won't happen anytime in the future... we MIGHT see it one day but the game would have to be much bigger IMO.
I don't like the McIntyre... week 1 is just so garbage. 3/4 shouldn't be in a situation where they should be eliminated. Especially since 7/8 get a shot at the title as...
Yes. I've heard him say it before in an interview. His opinion is to attain the competition points required to make the play offs early so you don't have to be in a situation where you have to win 6 from 8 later in the season or rely on other results etc. Personally, I agree... as long as you've...
You'd be kidding yourselves if you think the way GI is used at Souths would be the way we would have used him. He would have been godlike here, no doubt. Look at how we use Hodgo. GI should have came here if he wanted to take his career to another level. FACT. Would have been the best career...
What do you mean? our P/D is way off...... The Manly game is so iffy... we want to play good but honestly, I'd rather NO injuries and straight to week 1 finals. My opinion but I don't want them busting their gut for a 'nothing' game. It's not even Locky's last game - he's there next week at...
How many Immortals are they going to make?
I think they should only make one every ten years or something. THAT would be epic. There is no 'rule' to Immortals...
Agreed. Agreed and agreed.
Epic season for a whole range of reasons. It will be a great memory for years to come. Locky's last year with the Origin build up was fantastic. Watching our footy has been nothing short of exciting - these young guns really make watching NRL fun again. I could go on...
Who cares? Whether he regrets it or not - in terms of professional football, obviously Brisbane was the better choice but if he's happy on a personal level then so be it. Let it go. I'm over GI - shame he didn't come here but Brisbane fans shouldn't lose sleep or get angry over it anymore.
The Doggies have been so up and down since 04 it's not even funny. Honestly they used to be such a powerhouse... they've lost their fear factor... I don't think any team fears playing them anymore... when I say fear I mean back then when you played the dogs you knew you were in for a decent...
It's the 3rd man stuff - I listen to Sydney radio here and then and I've heard them use the term 'Third man Thaiday'. Meh. Honestly I don't think the NSW fans hate him as much as the media do --> and they know he's a good player anyway. So defs the 3rd man business.
In defense of Gaz's voicemail - you can tell he's grown up since then. At the very least, he can portray himself decently to the media - and surely that is doing a good job as a footballer. In terms of conspiracy theories - It's a good plan but what do players get out of it? A good chance at...
LOL? How are the KNIGHTS not a challenge? Also - show me the money? Please - both clubs would have offered him enough. We can only speculate but I highly doubt the money difference was 'monumental'. From media reports he has incentives, and I reckon that is a great initiative, bonus pay for...
