I do actually.
Barba would play origin at fullback, nowhere else. Even if he kills it at cronulla in the 6 he has Hunt/Thurston/Cherry Evans/Cronk/possibly Milford ahead of him for a halves spot, so rule that out right now. If he goes back to Fullback he has got Slater/Inglis/possibly Boyd...
Re: Jarryd Hayne ---> NFL
Unpaid training contract too. You'd think he'd be wanting to make a team sooner rather than later or just return to the NRL if he's not getting any income.
Burgess was robbed for sure, but I can't be angry at Johnson getting it. Most talented player in the competition IMO, and one of the most exciting to watch.
He has at least 4 players ahead of him in his position, 2 of which are future immortals, that's why he's not there. Hardly rocket science. It would be a waste of everyone's time to have him there.
He'll get a run at the Jets since his brothers are the coaches, but I can't imagine even Wayne Bennett with his love of bringing back oldies giving him a run at the Broncos.
Not really, there's no real place for him.
His best position is fullback and we have 3 current NRL fullbacks playing in the current QLD team, and Milford pressing claims a lot harder than Barba.
How is what I said in any way shape or form "baiting"?
Hunt has been tried in the halves a number of times and was shown to have no idea. He doesn't have a good passing or general kicking game. He can kick a good grubber, ill give him that, but bombs? Nope. Cross field kicks? Nope. Long kicks...
People are overestimating his abilities because he plays for the Broncos.
Hunt doesn't have a playmaking bone in his body. He was good at the third man play where all he had to do was decide between draw and pass or grubber. That's not ball playing, its not playmaking, its just running a set...
That article gives Bennett the credit for signing Milford....fmd some people are stupid.
Didn't need hunt back, and I don't believe one word that comes out of hunts mouth. Hes worse than sonny bill in the "in it for the money" stakes.
On topic: Hell no to Maranta, haven't seen Eden play, Milford clearly isn't getting the spot, so Kahu it is by default IMO. He's looked slower than a wet week in the NRL games he has played, so fingers crossed he picks up some pace over the off season.
that doesnt answer my question. not praising someone isnt the same as being accused of blaming them for unrelated things, which ive seen a few people do recently, and i want to know why. if noone can provide any direct examples, maybe they should stop trolling.
@Big Pete/ @Harry Sack - what...
Oh right I forgot that the players pick the team and where they play. Guess thats why Hoffman was our fullba.....wait....?
He played where the coach wanted him to, despite making it clear he wanted to play fullback - that is the definition of a team player.
He didn't want a spine position, he...
But in the last 2 seasons he played 1 entire season on the wing and 80% of the other at 5/8th? He wanted fullback, but he played where it was best for the team. He deserves kudos for that, it shows he puts the team first.
