Even with his busted shoulder Read was one of the better defenders we've played there. Oates misses a fullback that can cut out a centre too.

I imagine it's been hard for Carrigan to perform given how bad the team was when he played his last games. If nothing else he seemed to be trying which is more than can be said for most of our players.

The one I noticed was Milford. He looked trim in his final games. Unfortunately it took him getting dropped to QCup and losing his contract to get himself sorted.

Let's see how Carrigan goes when it's not just him and Haas doing the work. He may even need to be coached to pick his moments. The rest of the forwards are starting to step up now so I am hoping to see Carrigan to his potential.
