Re: Brett Stewart without NRL apology, Manly coach Des Hasle
Seriously Stewart and Manly totally have to let this go - it's been 2 years FFS. And apparantly his little post-try celebration on the weekend was a dig at Gallop. That is what i call seriously pathetic and childish - and not to...
Titans withdrew their offer last week - supposedly because Boyd is dicking them around and not meeting agreed to deadlines for the various stages of negotiations. If that's at all true for the reason then not only do I really hope we don't sign him, but that we don't even get into negotiations...
Exactly - and he isn't worth that to me (note the IMO in my original post). If a club thought/thinks he is worth that to them, that's their choice, but I would think they are mental.
OK, this sounds to me like what the NRL is flogging the rights around for. Whilst it will be absolutely fantastic if this comes to fruition, there is no indication that any network/s intends to pay it at this stage, so I'll hold off on my excitement for now.
It's not Brissie he's not happy with - he is from Brissie and played his Colts years at Norths. He's just not that happy at the Broncos - I think a big part of it is that he reconises we have a pretty good forward roster and he's going to get more opportunities to develop into the best player...
Sorry I should have typed "for THE few years" not A.
Signed with us in 2009 and wasn't really that happy the first year but definitely felt like once he got injured Henjak forgot about him, even after he was fully recovered - I know he almost walked mid-season last year.
I agree it's probably fair enough that they can't meet every request, but these days about 90% of requests get the response Coxy outlined above. But in the early days maybe 5% (tops) of requests illicited that kind of response and I seriously do not believe that they have had that much of an...
I'm pretty disappointed to be losing Ando, but I do know he hasn't been really happy at the Broncos for a few years so it's probably the best thing for him
I think it's organisation arrogance because the most of the staff hadn't actually changed when the organisation's attitude started to change, but some key ownership and board positions had.
And hey part of me can understand it - they were the only team in town, they had done a lot of things...
I actually remember the days back before the Broncos as an organisation became so arrogant and they did used to do stuff like this for their fans all the time and nothing was too much trouble.
I hope the Titans continue to do this and not go the way of the Broncos administration.
Meh, teams these days are known less by their geographical name and mostly by their moniker. Ring pretty much any professional RL club and when they answer the phone they won't mention the locational name of the club - it's the sponsor and moniker. Eg "Welcome to the NRMA Broncos, how may I...
Agree Smiley - all terrible options.
Can't believe they even put Dolphins on the list - talk about not learning from the past. The Gold Coast team wanted to be called the Dolphins, I think they even had the logo and everything ready to go and publicly launched the team under that name. Went...
Actually in all seriousness a lot of what I've heard is that as long as Hayne stays at the club the Eels don't have a chance of signing anyone good - cause a lot of the top guys just don't want to play with him.
Why can't we all just accept they are 2 different games and no matter what kind of hybrid rules anyone comes up with and the results of any games played under those rules, League supporters will always speak the truth in that ours is a better game; whilst the union supporters will never give up...
