Heard a radio interview yesterday with Noyce where he expressly says no player has any stipulation in their contrat that they can't have a drink. So that's direct from the club CEO.
However like others I think by drinking he is just "tempting fate" and is more likely than not to get himself...
Yeah I never have been able to understand why they use the HD channels to show the crappy old shows instead of the sport and new shows. Doesn't make sense they use to good technology on the crap
Exactly same channel could have both packages. And you know what else, Nashy - even if it does end up with 2 different broadcasters, there are other RL experts not in the employ of Ch 9 who can comment just as well (actually probably better) as the Ch 9 commentators on how player X has gone...
AFL rights haven't been finalised yet - Ch9 is still in there with a chance for them. And Ch9 isn't as scary a prospect for the NRL to stand up to anymore - it was more Kerry Packer being the one in control rather than Ch9. I'm not saying Ch9 will lose the rights, but I think the chances of a...
Exactly Rock. And take a look at the footballers who do get themselves in trouble on a regular basis - I wouldn't say many of them would be amongst those copping the massive head-knocks on a regular basis.
There was a thing on the Today Show this morning talking about head collisions and concussions in sport and the damage it does etc etc etc. But one of the things the 'expert' chick was saying is the head knocks are probably to blame for behaviour such as this as it mostly affects the frontal...
I still don't understand why he thought anyone but himself should pay HIS legal bills (except maybe the Storm if it's true they engaged the Barrister without his consent). But whatever - I am pretty sure in hindsight the Broncos have less regrets than him over how things have played out.
Oh yeah I don't get that either - would love to hear the refs explain how they came to the decision. Maybe because they felt the situation was going to escalate further between the 2 of them (or spill over to other players becoming involved), so send them both off to diffuse the situation...
I would like to see Ch 10 get the rights. From all reports they do a pretty good job with the AFL. I also think they are going to make a massive play for it. This year they have implemented not 1 but 2 weekly RL panel shows - both of which are very good IMO and hosted/paneled by people who are...
Yep the game rules say that for "foul play" (ie headbutt) a player can be either placed on report or sent off - not sin-binned. But they can be sin-binned for fighting. So I guess that's where the refs will be able to cover themselves - on report for the foul play and sin-binned for fighting...
Don't know where you are getting the idea I heard it 3rd or 4th hand from. When he was punted back to easts last year I saw it first hand with my very own eyes - my impressions backed up by his team-mates straight from their mouths to my ears. And again this year direct from Wynnum coaching...
Ethan, I have no doubt he came back too early. But I also stand by what I saw first hand off the field, and at training etc and what I was told directly from the Easts players that his attitude was poor. Not arrogance necessarily (though there was a touch of that) but more that he didn't feel...
I know this because I have seen it first hand when he was playing at Easts last year and people I know at Wynnum have confirmed for me it has been pretty much the same this year.
I still wish he had been able to come back to the club and re-capture his pre-warriors form and believed he would -...
