I thought Copley was going really well by the end of 2012. plus we all know he has the potential based on what he showed as a junior.
He isn't the 'great white hope' in the back line but he was a decent player. he just seems to be dreadfully unlucky with injuries.
because I thought Newcastle and Mason said that they weren't sure that SBW's hit actually caused the fracture. Mason said he copped a couple high shots in the game and they weren't sure which one caused the fracture.
whereas it was quite clear that Thompson broke his jaw solely because of...
yeah but that was clearly a case of the judiciary fucking up with the Snowden case rather than SBW getting special treatment.
if you compare any player's suspension to Snowden it will look like they are getting special favours from the NRL. it is unfair to use Snowden as a comparison because...
Re: Broncos Player Movements and Rumours 2013
yeah, I think he was just a pudgy kid from the Tigers with a good offload at the time we picked him up. Wise recruitment decision there (and good development)
I don't think Kearney likes Locke that much. he chose Hoffman ahead of him in the ANZAC test too, even though Hoffman was starting on the wing then. Since Hoffman finished off the season at fullback I figure he is a pretty good chance to start there for the Kiwis.
I don't think it would be that...
is there much reason for this? or did you just like Coxy's call from earlier so much that you decided to give it a go for yourself?
I think the only player who I've been persistently and perhaps unfairly critical of is Sam Thaiday. apart from that, I've expressed disappointment at the...
yeah, seems like a Storm thing to do. Lima is another ex-Storm player who cannons into the legs when a player is held. ugly, ugly look for the game and quite unsafe.
he was doing pretty well early in the year wasn't he? For the first half of the year he was making something like 40 tackles a game when he was still getting a lot of minutes. seems like a useful player but I don't see why we need him.
Re: Broncos Player Movements and Rumours 2013
think you might be thinking of a different player. Lowrie is a lock and I'd be pretty surprised if we got him. I thought he just signed with New Zealand at the start of this year
well, from a natural justice point of view it would be terrible if FPN made the team.
However, right now I think I'd be delighted if FPN was selected by Kearney because truthfully, I'm more worried about the quality of the New Zealand side than I have been since Stacey Jones and Ruben Wiki...
another reason to get rid of extra time is that teams who win in golden point still get the same 2 points as a team that won in regulation. I find that a bit unfair because golden point is really just a way of saying 'hey, neither of you were actually good enough to win, so we're going to give...
scrums were still regularly contested in rugby league in the 1980s. if you were alive then to watch, you'd perfectly understand why rugby league got rid of them; they were shambolic.
they were unbelievably messy, took 3 times as long to complete and despite what people claim, they didn't...
I still remember a time in rugby league when the scrums were partially contested; it was unbelievably scrappy and messy. I can't believe people would want to go back to that.
