maybe I just talk to really dumb Sydney fans (actually I'm certain that I do) but quite a few wanted him gone/thought he should move to lock. they complained about his lack of creativity and I'm sure his off field stuff didn't help either
I suppose that could work by giving the refs an intermediate step between penalty and 10 but I'm not sure that the rule change would make that much of a difference. I think a lot of the issue here just comes down to how the referees apply the rules. I know a lot of penalty don't like the fact...
well because you're actually reducing the penalty from 10 minutes to 5 minutes. I think with only 5 minutes instead of 10 minutes you'd get a lot more players gambling like Aubusson did yesterday and dragging down chasers or support players in attempt to foil a potential scoring opportunity
- I'd like the time clock stopped when the ball is not in play too.
And I wouldn't call it a rule change but I'd like to see a change in how some of the rules are interpreted:
- I'd like to see less stripping calls with more onus on the ball carrier
- I'd like to see the referees penalise...
well whatever route we go I'd actually like to see us pick players who are good enough. if you haven't seen much of Strasser or Taylor then all you're basically saying is: 'Hook should go with [insert random junior here] regardless of their ability'
I haven't seen much of Taylor either but what...

Roosters fans were idiots for wanting to get rid of him though. Friend had a lot of potential last year too and was still ahead of McCullough in my view.
I think the differing opinions of Friend in 2013 and pre-2013 shows the ridiculous extent to which people base their judgements of hookers on...
Re: Offseason 2013/14
Sweet, I hadn't realised that the Kennedy move had been officially confirmed. I thought it was still classified as one of the worst kept secrets in the NRL.
I would actually like to see Scott Bolton at Red Hill. I think he is a handy player and would be a great addition to our front row. Let Hannant and McGuire start and bring Bolton off the bench
blurgh, Rein is garbage. reckon they'll have to wait until Michael Lichaa hits his straps before they have a good replacement ready. meanwhile Friend and Srama both look the goods :thumbup1:
The Roosters' defence didn't look anywhere near as solid as it has for most of the year and they looked beaten through the middle for a lot of the game too, which are both really uncharacteristic.
its a great testament to the Roosters that they still managed to find a way to win.
yeah same. you can see argument from the other side because Lyon was short and the bounce didn't look terribly good ... but I'd like to see those given as a penalty try. Giving a sin-binning instead of a penalty try is taking the option that favours the offending team more, which doesn't strike...
