As bad as Vidot was, we all knew what we were getting from him. we saw it at Canberra and St George and we saw it again tonight. he's a barnstorming runner but he has some real doosies in him.
3. McGuire. Always running and passing too
2. Hunt. Hit and miss night in defence but overall he was brilliant
1. Barba. Lovely to see him running again
Rothfield calling out Wally for being biased during Origin? Pot calling the kettle black
I'm always impressed at Wally for remaining as impartial as he does. for two champs of their states, he and Sterlo do a decent effort to keep their emotions/allegiances in check around Origin
Re: Out of the 8, second year in a row
how do Hunt and McGuire cop it here? they've been excellent all year and have left everything on the field. No other players are less deserving of criticism than those two
I'd love them to stick around and I'll be devastated if they go but they're allowed...
I thought Bennett was like Bellamy with the Storm. he builds a team well so the props all do well even if they aren't the greatest players on their own
The Cowboys have been collecting hookers recently. I wish they had kept taking ones from elsewhere ... good luck to Granville. he deserves a shot at a starting spot
this should be good. He probably seems a little bit old to the doubters but 25 for a prop isn't that old. he could well have his best years in front of him (or lets hope he does)
I don't think anybody on either team is going to be taking easy. so many of the NSW players like Gallen, Bird, Scott etc are fuckwits but to their credit they never take a backward step. I can't see them or any NSW players holding back after theyve been humiliated for 8 long years
Re: McCullough vs Granville
I agree with most people here.
Macca is a better overall player and has really lifted in the last season and a half. but watching Granville makes you realise how valuable it can be to have a hooker who gets in their and gets a quick pass out. he looked a bit rusty...
