Re: [RUMOUR] Anthony Milford to Broncos
this is quite a different take on the season to mine ...
Norman looked better at fullback for a time and it was nice to see him moving the ball quickly .... but there was also an extended period where he really shit shit. There was a reason he got...
everybody was a little bit dirtier back then and the game was better for it. if you didn't rub a bit of dirt into a player's face while they were on the ground then you were a pansy
Indeed, it was crystal clear
he knocked on late in the game in the 1 point loss to Melbourne, which probably cost us the game. I don't remember how he played otherwise but I just remember screaming abuse at the TV when it happened
only Ben Hunt played at five-eight (other than Norman). I think he played 4 games. All in a row near the end of the season, just before the finals. Round 20-24 maybe? We lost all 4 games.
* don't quote me on the Rounds though. I remember the first game was a late change against Canberra.
The rumours are never going to go away while there are still people willing to believe anything they are told by 'unnamed sources'.
Hoffman has already said that he is happy at the Broncos and wants to play 100 games with us but that wasn't sufficient to scuttle these rumours earlier in the...
I don't think he'd be any good at all as a five-eight.
I watched the British Irish lions tour and he was awful at fly-half and got hammered by the critics for it. He's just not a distributer or playmaker, he looks far better running the ball. He could make a good winger/centre/fullback but I...
quotes or no quotes doesn't make much difference to an article. Articles without quotes are ridiculously unreliable and they only get things right because they speculate on everything and eventually hit a real story. But articles with quotes also don't mean much these days because every player...
100% agree with this. there seems to be have been a lot of unwarranted character assassination of Hoffman over the whole fullback/wing move. There was only ever speculation in the media that he was upset about not playing fullback and even if it was true, all it proves is that he is a human...
I was pretty sure they got rid of that rule ages ago. a contract with another club can't be registered until a certain time but he is free to talk to whoever he likes.

Thanks. there are some names in there that bring back some memories ... along with a few that I had forgotten about. Andrew Farrar is drawing a complete blank for me. Either I'm suffering early onset dementia or he must have been a real bolter that year
you're always going to be disappointed if you continue to compare the current situation to the glory days. The world has changed and differences in the league, the player market, contracts etc mean that we aren't always going to be the indomitable powerhouse of days gone. That is part of what...
haha, well from personal experience there is no shortage of activity on a honeymoon but it isn't the kind of activity that is going to maintain your physique at 8% body fat. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong though ...

he went away on his honeymoon and came back overweight but managed to get down to a weight that the club wanted him to by January.
I think its incredible harsh/untrue to say that is 'not trying'. Staying in peak fitness is no easy feat and players struggle with...
yeah, I guessed as much. but still, I don't think Hoffman ever admitted to not trying. I think the comments you are thinking of are far less dramatic and damning than that.
what? when has Hoffman ever admitted to not trying (and especially in 2011). I think I know the quote/article you are referring to but I think that is a gross misrepresentation of what he said.
I don't think Hoffman is a viable replacement for Thaiday as captain but not because he allegedly...
I'm looking forward to how Ben Hunt goes in 2014. after all, it will be the first time where he goes through the whole pre-season training as a halfback.
Hopefully he can take control of the play a bit more this year, play the percentages a bit better and improve his general kicking game. I'll...
I don't think size is all that important. players who are 100+ kilos and brutishly strong are as common as muck in the NRL and lower levels but very few are fantastic centres. Wrapping Vidot as a potentially fantastic centre based on his size seems like the wishful thinking that leads people to...
