Round 25 - Broncos vs Dragons - Pre Game Discussion

I can't quite figure why everyone is so confident of an easy win against the dragons. They will be also playing for a spot in the finals and they do have some firepower. I think it will be a fight to the death and only a few points in it. Dragons always have a good following at Suncorp as...

Round 24 - Broncos vs Knights - Post Match Discussion

Thanks SF for this picture . It clearly demonstrates how risky Barbas's flashy one hand put downs are. Would hate to see a try disallowed in the next few weeks from one of these gone wrong.

Round 24 - Broncos vs Knights - Post Match Discussion

I really enjoyed the win ,but I would need to see a similar effort next week to convince me we are worthy of being in the finals. I love watching Hodges play. at his creative best. There is no substitute for class. Great to see Reed do somthing worthwhile in attack (for a change). Call me a...

Round 23 - Souths vs Broncos - Post Game Discussion

I will have to take a second look at it . I am certainly not going to argue Teo's case .On another note, I thought Souths were given too much leeway on slowing down the play the ball when we were in the red zone. Especially when they were more then 12 points ahead. They seemed to be...

Round 23 - Souths vs Broncos - Post Game Discussion

I didn't even think it was worth a penalty. He looked to be putting a bit "ëxtra"in most tackles though . Mayby he has got a bit of a chip on his shoulder for some reason.

Round 23 - Souths vs Broncos - Post Game Discussion

I don't think we were as far out of the contest as the score indicates. Three tries form failure to contest kicks were the clincher. GI was awesome . He looks fit and fast. Pity he didn't show that form at origin. I thought Hodges was pretty good last night and really...

Round 23 - Broncos vs Rabbitohs Pre-Match Discussion

Point taken, but I would describe the prevailing sentiment as less pessimistic then usual rather then confident.

Round 23 - Broncos vs Rabbitohs Pre-Match Discussion

Don't know if we can beat these guys ,but at least we go into into it with some confidence after belting the dogs.Would like to see Hodges mark up on GI.Hope that at least means shifting Reed to the wing or better still the bench.

BHQ 2014 POTS Round #22 vs Bulldogs

Reynolds is the grub ,but Ennis is the dingo.Did anyone else notice his niggle work on the tackled player? He seemed to be taking particular aim at Corey. That prick need a lesson.

    Round 22 - Broncos vs Bulldogs - Pre-Match Discussion

Honestly don't see us getting out of the losing rut. Fowards would have to lift up two levels.Barba would have to make some breaks. Parker would have to kick at least 80per cent.Hunt would have to be back to his best and find a kicking game. We would need to get lucky with at least one bomb...

Out of the 8, second year in a row... And we're in!

Re: Out of the 8, second year in a row Hodges said post match something to the effect that we have a great team"on paper" , and if we got to the finals we could really give it a shake. I wish this were true ,but the more I see them play the more obvious it it's to me that we lack the players to...

Round 21 - Sea Eagles vs Broncos - Post Match Discussion

All round a very uninspiring performance in which we were nearly totally shut out by Manly defence. Oiur back line was just disjointed and we never looked like scoring a try other then getting lucky with a bomb. Hard to find anything positive to say but I will try : Barba showed a bit more...

Round 21 - Broncos vs Sea Eagles - Pre-Match Discussion

Is this really happening.Reed getting a wing spot ahead of Vidot! He may actually get the job done in a fashion. By that I mean he may defend adequently and be there for the odd high ball. But he has zero ability to hit the ball up effectively and zero Chance of finishing off an attacking back...

Wayne Bennett related player movement discussion

Re: willie mason Agree too , but in an ideal world someone even a bit bigger would be better. How good would it be to have a Scott (the cowboy) or something that comes in a Burgess size.

Wayne Bennett related player movement discussion

Re: willie mason If Willie would be of any value for us then WB should know. I would go with his judgment on this one. I do agree that Willie may not be worth the gamble , so of course the price would have to be right.

Wayne Bennett related player movement discussion

Re: willie mason I tend to think Maguire is a bit on the small side also, but he partly makes up for it by always running at full speed. But we could sure do with a genuine big bopper or two. Mason ? Might be worth a punt if he comes cheap. Mayby might add a bit of sorely needed...

Round 21 - Broncos vs Sea Eagles - Pre-Match Discussion

I will give you two positives for our chances on Friday 1 The Warriors will bruise them up for us and they only have a 5 day turn round and 2 I think Ben Hunt will be primed for a big one ,to prove he should have been given his shot in Origin 2 instead of DCE on one leg.

Round 20 - Broncos vs Storm - Post Match Discussion

Anyone want to talk about our goal kicking ? I think we should be looking for a new one for next year. IMO Corey should only be a back up , although his kick offs (restarts) are pretty good.
