I'll confess, I chose Taylor. In my head, I know Gillett is the better pick for the team. I just used love watching Taylor playing centre in attack, monstering wingers then pulling off wicked cutout passes. Haven't seen enough Rabbitoes games this year though to know whether I still have the love.
I personally wouldn't mind if we just upgraded all the kids on long term contracts. There is heaps of promise in all of them. The Folau thing has given me a bad taste about big name signings outside the club. Better to spend the money on people who actually want to be a Bronco. Signing...
I gotta say I felt a lot worse about Hunt leaving as well. I had hopes he would help fill the void when locky leaves. Folau is still a bit of a one dimensional player with heaps of promise. He is worth the extra try he brings to a game, but I'm not super gutted now that he seems to be leaving.
The difference was probably smith having a shocker. Hopefully this one was just the cobwebs being blown away after the bye. I actually think the Sharkies are becoming a pretty good team these days.
Haven't seen anything to impress me from any of the wingers this year. I personally would like to see Folau back on the wing when hodges gets back. Gillett/Glenn/Teo can cover the other centre position (we've got backrowers to burn) with the other three to fight it out for the left wing. I...
And how was Bird targetting Locky all night? Don't know why people still bother really. Seemed to be getting some of his own medicine as the game wore on.
I'm also happy that we now seem to offload. We're not able to do that second phase fullback as second pivot thing anymore so at least we are making it up elsewhere. Wallace played pretty well I thought. Adds a little bit extra in defense. Especially the desperate stuff. Can't wait for...
Don't get too excited about Falou kids. He hasn't signed anything yet. I'm sure we are not going to offer him anything near what he is being offered by the AFL and Rugby.
Ennis is another good example. Loved him at the Broncos even though he didn't fit within the club's ethos. Don't quite hate him yet but I'm sure I will. He's pretty much the biggest grub in the game (on field that is - seems like a nice chap off-field).
I'd say that for this young team, confidence has been half the battle. As long as the defense stays committed, we should be on the way up. The Storm win should help.
I don't mind him running the ball up. In the past he would always do the dodgy hospital pass in the same situation. Seems far safer to me to just hit it up when a pass isn't on at all.
I'm becoming the same now. Too upsetting getting your hopes up ATM. At least back in the past our crap defence was balanced out by wicked attack. I couldn't see any set plays or structure last night. You'd think Hunt and Lockyer would have spent at least a little time together working out...
Thats true. Out of the "big 4" you'd think he'd be the least important and therefore more likely to be pushed out (or at least get the biggest pay cut). A lot of cash has to come out somewhere.
