Here's a theory I have. COVID
Pretty much the entire team had covid in the late preseason or early season. Now everyone knows it takes a while to get back to full fitness after covid. Is this what we are seeing now with our players energy?
Bloody hell refs how much they paying you? Couldn't try any harder to get the Rabbits back in the game. Can't half tell who the favoured Sydney team is here.
But as the Broncos have learnt the harsh lesson a number of times the last 5 or so years. Banking on potential is a very risky business. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.
With Souths winning last night this game takes upon an additional aspect. This is our battle for a spot in the top 8.
If we want a spot in the top 8 we have to earn it by beating the Rabbits.
Turpin takes forever to make his decisions when in dummy half and often just passes the the forward closest to him. One things we have done well the last few games is not been a one out hit up team. No coincidence this happens when Turpin is out injured.
I think Turpin biggest weakness isn't his running game but his decision making. He seems to take an age to make up his mind on what he is going to do. Good hookers already have a plan before they pick up the ball. This hesitation and lack of planning is what removes the opportunity to go for a...
I disagree about the halves. I think it all starts with the hooker, choosing the right direction to go and not just the nearest big forward. Also making his decision before he picks up the ball. Not get the ball, stop think and then go.
