That's it. I've been worried for awhile with how addicted the qld selectors are with slater at fullback and not giving Inglis a go despite how well he plays there for souths.
Slater in form, no question he goes to fullback. But he's had a knee problem for awhile and now with this shoulder...
I just pray we don't lose him too.
What are people's thoughts on Slater, assuming he recovers a few days before the game, does he play? Or do they allow someone else to train in his position. I don't want to see another cronk/dce upset where a player hasn't trained to be ready for an injury...
Why isn't there an appeals process? I don't know the details but shouldn't whoever gave him the charge in the first place be able to appeal it? I had no idea the judicial panel had such bias in it. Silly me I just assumed it was fair LOL
Side note dce has done something to his hip and will...
Problem is, whoever smashes him will most likely get binned with a longer suspension than what he got!!! I am floored that a lot of players are suspended for a lot longer for a shoulder charge than a potentially life threatening lifting tackle... Unbelievable
The ultimate conundrum. Do you sink to the penalty milking style seen more frequently with nsw. Sadly the refs are never going to improve, and I'd never support lying down but I don't think they have a choice any more
What's the bet that they only gave him 1 week because they knew if they gave him 2 weeks, with this newish rule about bye games not counting, he wouldn't have been able to play game 2 ? Hopefully it's not me just reading into it too much....
I can't believe how sick the nrl can be to decide the severity of a charge based on the extent of the receiving injury. Disgusting.
Someone will pay the price one day
Absolutely agree. And even if it is fairly charged, it'll just show how inconsistent the judiciary is, that they're just as bad as refs! Lose lose situation
I don't think people would be as angry about that tackle if it wasn't for the nrl making a huge fake stink about cracking down on lifting tackles. If they don't care about these dangerous throws unless someone becomes paralysed, why put on such an act about how against it they are?? (ie instant...
