Did you not see the list of players that were getting paid over and above their values, in one way or another (be that cash or gift vouchers, or even boats!)? I think it's a load of rubbish to say that most of them stayed for less than they could have got elsewhere - over the years involved a...
You know I'm not even sure Gallen's in the same league anymore. Gallen has brain snaps no doubt, and he does use some rather unsavoury tactics, but O'Donnell seriously looks like a bloke with roid rage these days.
Oh no doubt Coxy. There's dirty, and then there's being an out and out thug. You just can't compare O'Donnell and Hodges....actually O'Donnell and just about anyone else in the competition really.
Re: Greg Inglis walks away from...
I also have no doubt his first preference is to stay in Melbourne. But he's obviously being smart about it and knows that he could be the one to get tapped on the shoulder and be told that he has to leave, so he's making sure he's got options. If he has to...
Re: Greg Inglis walks away from...
Interesting comment in the herald.

So if I'm reading that correctly, if he signs with Brisbane for $400,000 the Storm don't have to top up the contract? Surely if that was the case, they couldn't argue...
Re: Greg Inglis walks away from...
I can't see how losing those 3 (it's Hoffman btw, not Blair) will equate to what they need to shed to be under the cap.
Re: Greg Inglis walks away from...
That could be said of nearly every player in the comp though!
And as far as his reaction goes, all I saw him do was give a wry smile and shake his head. I can't see any problem with that (unless I missed something), and would be way less than I would do if...
I dunno, he's gotten that element out of his game over the last little while imo. Nowhere near as erratic as he used to be, and doesn't drop the bombs that you and I could catch so much anymore.
Re: Greg Inglis walks away from...
I personally don't have any issues with Smith, I don't really get why so many people completely hate him, but I would welcome any player of his calibre to the broncos with open arms. Thankfully for me, none of the players I truly hate in the game are anywhere...
Yeah Beads, I just had a guy at work say that his son called him and saw on the news that the storm were at the airport to fly out to NZ and they're not going, not playing any more games the rest of the year.
Re: Greg Inglis walks away from...
If he stays for less, then I can understand your position. If he stays for the same though, I'm still prepared to side with him on this one. I have no doubt his number 1 preference is to stay with the storm. And also, according to every story I've read, it was...
Re: Greg Inglis walks away from...
Mate, I'd be pretty certain that Inglis knew he couldn't get a better offer from us than he could get from the storm, especially considering the storm have been vocal these last couple of days in saying that they will shed heaps of other players in order to...
