I haven't seen a player lead by example and be so calm under pressure like Boyd has been since Locky. And that ncludes the test match and origin this year. I think he will be a great captain.
Well that sucked... after seeing how intense thst game was and how spent the boys were at the 80 min mark i was thinking this effort will really flatten which ever team moved onto next week.
My big rant about what stood out to me tonight.
Boyd was immense. Up there with his best games IMO...
My initial thought regarding Kearny going to the warriors was he would probably take a few kiwi boys with him. But after some thought I don't think many, if any would follow, not in 2017 anyway as I think they are all under contract and are all set to be career Broncos if they chose so...
Excellent news. He will be our forward leader that we look to post Parker, for years to come. Good to see Locky and Parker weren't the last of an era of Broncos who love and are loyal to this club.
Earlier this year I would have definitely taken Mead. However with the success of Opa and Pearson looking like a good prospect we wouldn't want to lose, there isn't much need for him and he wouldn't be cheap enough to be a backup.
I definitely agree that we could do with 1 solid front rower for next year. Wallace is a big loss. He is coming into his prime and is the kind of guy you want at your club, especially with Parker retiring. But oh well...
I have plenty of faith in the young forwards we have coning through, but...
Does anyone think Glenn could be our lock next year if Sammy keeps up this form in the seccond row. I've been loving Glenns work up the middle of late and I think he is worth more than ~30 mins off the bench. I'm not forgetting Arrow either, I can see these 2 rotating between 13 and the bench...
Was that this year? I didn't know that. Quite impressive! He seems to have all the ingredients to make a quality first grade lock, can't wait to see him make it his own next year.
Would really love to see Offa, Ese or Su'a named on the bench in place of Arrow for this game. I love Arrow to bits and I'm not dropping him I'm just a fan of how Bennett has been rotating these young blokes this year and think its time to get a bigger body on the bench.
Has anyone been...
I think it was deliberate and deserved 10 in the bin or a send off even. In saying that i don't doubt Kasiano regretted it and was remorceful, things happen in the heat of the moment, but that obviously doesn't make it right.
They are some nasty cuts on Coreys face, if they were 10cm higher...
Yea i definitely agree on Roberts is looking like a winger. He hasn't really shown any signs of improvement in being able to run lines and his passing is abysmal. He's just a pin the ears back and run for it kind of player. I would like to see him snd Kahu swap around on occasion in the next few...
I haven't had much time to follow the 20s this year so can someone fill me in on how Hipgrave has been? Seemed very highly respected last year but i don't think I have heard his name thrown around this year. Has he been injured? Do you think he still has NRL potential?
Can't wait to see more of him. He looks to have the right mix of size, agility and speed. Can finish a try and most of his carries out of our end were good. Can't wait to see how he goes when he gets tested under the highball and in defence.
Its been so frustrating watching so many clubs...
Is TPJ a front rower or back rower? He had plenty of impact off the bench, lots of skill, speed for his size and confidence.
Pearson was great. Pretty frustrating that we have persisted with Eden, Maranta and Glenn at centre after watching that. Hopefully he has a few more games before Kahu...
He definitely has talent to be great but he seems like a bit of a loose cannon. He seems easily influenced, luckily now it's in a good way it seems. I liked his interview with Kemp and I'd give him a shot on base salary. I definitely think Wayne and Darius would be good role models for him and...
I remember him in the cowboys U20's. Big unit in the centres as others have said. St the time showed enough potential that i thought would see him go onto playing NRL and he seemed to have a fair few wraps on him back then. I wonder what held him back...
Not sure why so many people are calling for McGuires head. Yea he lost his cool and didn't play as good as usual but it's just one game. He has been up there with Parker as one of our best and most consistent forwards for years... We would be crazy to let him go. With Parker retiring McGuire...
I thought he started the game pretty well. Was making some solid tackles and hitting hard. Made some better hit ups rather then dropping straight to the ground. Then I noticed him get hassed somewhere around the 30 minute mark where he started making errors and getting lazy. I'm not sure if...
