Disgraceful. The gates are opening at 5.00pm to show a Broncos Grand Final replay on the big screen....what a joke. I NEVER want to watch a replay of the 2015 Grand Final.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but a full replay of the Broncos v Capras trial is available on the Livestream app. Sadly there's no sign of the Titans trial yet.
Not sure what you're talking about there. I don't give a damn about the draw in terms of who we play. It's the scheduling I have a problem with. If the NRL want to continue with the ridiculous idea of playing on Thursday nights then they should share it evenly amongst 16 teams.
Very disillusioned. I foolishly trusted all the blurb and let my season tickets roll over before the draw was announced. Four bleeping Thursday night games.....stuff that, I'm over it. I won't be renewing in 2019. The NRL are quite happy to try and prop up the crowds in Sydney on a Sunday but...
Am I “over” the Broncos? No, I guess the Broncos will always be my team. I might try and tell myself that I don’t care anymore but if I don’t care, why does it still hurt 3 days after Friday’s dismal ending?
I AM “over” the way the game is run by the NRL and how it affects the Broncos and I...
I'd like to know what'sort going on with Tristan Hope. I think he's a great attacking hooker and always seems to get the side going forward but he was always in and out of the team. I don't know whether he has an injury that was affecting him or whether it was an off field issue but I would put...
Granted, but I guess I'm talking generally across the whole season.
Anyway, I would love to know if the Broncos have shifted their ideas about spreading players across multiple feeder teams. I know the Clydesdales experience was not a success in terms of support from the Toowoomba community...
Maybe not more talented but definitely better schooled. Storm players do the little things so much better.
The best example I can think of is Josh Addo-Carr. He was a promising, talented player at WestsTigers but the Storm have rebuilt him into a match winner.
What I meant Pete was that Pearson is not showing anywhere near the class or game winning ability of the players I named. The Broncos have a lot of "stocking fillers" in their QCUP ranks. The Storm have well schooled youngsters ready to step up at any time.
It will never happen but I want to...
The Falcons look like a team of Melbourne Storm clones. The production line just rolls along.....
By comparison, watching the Broncos contracted players like Moses Pangai and Jonus Pearson just makes my heart sink. What the hell do the Broncos see in Pearson that makes them think he could ever...
He started out the year playing centre and did a pretty good job of it so I was a bit surprised when he got moved to second row towards the end of the season. It might have been more to do with the number of injuries they had in the 20's.
He's a terrible ball hog who tries to do it all himself...
I agree with you 100% but we all know Wayne Bennett operates under the belief that you don't pay huge money for forwards, you do a slow apprenticeship to get to first grade, and the Broncos don't have to pay top dollar to keep their players. Millennial kids don't buy into those ideas as much...
Here's an interesting story about a Kiwi kid we've signed but it gives a good insight into the Melbourne Storm's philosophy when it comes to signing juniors. It's all about quality not quantity and a more personal development approach.
I've always suspected the Broncos sign large numbers of kids...
It seems rather strange to be losing sports science people when the Broncos are about to open a whole new state-of-the-art facility at Red Hill.
I wonder if it's a planned new direction the Broncos are taking or whether there are problems in the football department?
Why would they want Carrigan (another lock forward) when they've just signed Jai Arrow? I know Carrigan can play anywhere in the forwards but he's not particularly big. He's listed as 99kg and has been playing very well at lock for the under 20s.
