That's a solid forward pack and a competitive forward pack but it's a seriously under sized forward pack and it won't win us a premiership.
We can't expect our halves to develop and dominate games when our forward pack can't make ground and dominate the opposition.
Very true, but now we are suddenly down two front rowers who were supposed to be the future of the Broncos. I would have thought that Ese Ese became more valuable to the Broncos once Lodge was off the scene.
Something just doesn't make sense about the Lodge/Ese Ese contract debacle. It says in tonight's article that Bennett privately contacted the NRL a fortnight ago to try and register Lodge's contract before the 30th June. In other words the Broncos knew full well about the struggles and hardship...
I am really concerned if the rumours and reports are true that we are about to have an exodus of players like Ese Ese, Arrow, Fai and Ofahengaue. With Thaiday and Blair in the last year or two of their careers and guys like Gillett and Glenn turning 30 next year, it is vital that the Broncos...
He's is very promising but I'm not sure how long we have him signed for or where his future lies. I read on this forum while ago that the Melbourne Storm were interested in him.
I'm sure you won't share your info now but I'd love to hear about it if it comes to fruition. It's not always the sort of story that makes it to the media.
its not so much about replicating, but more to do with actually being good at your job and actually doing what you are being paid to do. and doing it well. the storm dont sign a 100 juniors, they are very selective and invest time and resources into the players they really want.
As crooked as...
All in all I have been quite underwhelmed by the quality of the juniors recruited throughout the life of the Under 20s competition. Considering the scope and pulling power of the Broncos, a lot of our current NRL squad have been bought in from outside the Broncos system and some really quality...
1910, do you know if Keegan Hipgrave is in the Broncos long term plans? I know a lot of people rave about him but I'm not really a fan. He has a lot of aggression and does everything at full throttle but I don't see much finesse. He isn't terribly big for a forward and I just wonder where he...
I agree 1910, this team is light years ahead of last year's team. Their terrible ball handling cost them dearly in the first couple of rounds and left them a bit hesitant and lacking in confidence. When I saw them play against the Storm at Maroochydore I felt they had the Storm's measure and...
Haas is very impressive but I refuse to get excited about him until he commits to the Broncos again when his contract expires. He is going to be headhunted by every other NRL club and will be offered ridiculous amounts of money to go elsewhere and we all know the Broncos often can't or won't get...
Looking ahead to 2018 and beyond, I wonder what the NRL/QRL plans to do on game day with regards to playing earlier games before the main game. It will have a huge bearing on whether I will be renewing our Season tickets.
We always get to Suncorp Stadium in time to watch the whole Under 20's...
I renewed our Season tickets for 2017 before the draw came out today but this might be our last year.
It's a 4 hour round trip for us to go to a game and we've always hated the Friday night games but having Thursday night games as well is probably the last straw.
Coupled with the end of the NYC...
