Not at all, I said they are A form team. Once they are all back on deck, towards the end of the season I see Manly as top 4. Most definitely Storm are THE team again this regular season.
We're 3 games away from knowing were we really stand mid-2012.
Even though the Eagles are tracking at a 50% win rate this year, I still think they are a form team of the comp.
Then after the bye, we have the big one, the benchmark. I never thought I would get the chance to say this...
Considering he has played & dominated at both centre & wing for QLD, it wouldn't be a bad selection.
GI is going to dominate no matter where he plays in the outside backs, he's in his best form since game 3 last year & since The Rock just named him in his "most hated" team, I can't wait to...
Gillett is the obvious choice & I'll be very surprised if he isn't picked on the bench. In a worst case scenario, Gillett can cover outside & 5/8, but likely would be Gillett outside, GI to 6, Cronk to 9.
Gillett is the only utility that gives the option to have halves & hooker covered...
Agreed, although in fairness to Sheens, I think DCE was selected to only get a run if we were up by a million or injury.
Fairly arrogant selection by Australia.
Issac Luke never fails to amaze me with his inability to pass a ball at the right moment. He's a hooker, it's not like it's his job to realise when to feed the backline. I just wish he was eligible for NSW.
Watmough had a good game, pretty sure I saw DCE more than Choc.
Can't wait for SoO.
A solid win without being too flashy. Tigers made some woeful errors in the first half & we really didn't take advantage. I too liked the patience shown with the 4 repeat sets in the 2nd half. A mature side which seems to be growing week after week.
one thing that disappointed me this game...
I'm sorry I opened a new thread, I wasn't sure why the other thread was locked. There was simply a post from yourself stating the debate was over. I am unsure why, as there was nothing I saw which would offend any individual members of the community or the community as a whole.
If Anonymous...
Of course! I understand your need for attention. You need the attention the BHQ community gives you, as much as BHQ needs a villain.
I understand your point now. In your opinion, the success of a coach, can be judged by how his team performs in the most critical matches of a season.
IMO...
Anonymous Person; your quote on a list of players you mentioned Storm have lost since they started playing by the same rules as the 15 other clubs.
I get confused by you. Newcastle's team "choc full of rep players" has only 4 current reps, however the Storm players lost weren't that good as...
I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly, but are you saying that a qualifying finals game is a mark of success? I agree it is, because in all sport on any given day. However is that what you are saying AP? If so, this quote seems hypocritical;
This is the abysmal finals record you speak of...
15 of those players mentioned are "rep" players. Any nuffie could have coached them to premierships with those players, no wonder Storm always make the semis.
Bellamy is NOT a Supercoach since he only won 2 GFs with that line up. Cartwright would have done better with that cattle.
Great post Ari Gold. I was making a list of Storm rep players 06-11 and realised, "why bother arguing with someone who won't listen?"
AP; Ari Gold has the proof in this post. "Rep players" does not equate to rep quality players, nor does it guarantee a finals berth or the mark of a...
How did "News wave the white flag in surrender". Also, how did the Broncos GF win over the Sharks not have passion?
I was at that game and so were 58000 other people who considered it a fantastic game. 2 NSW teams played in the ARL GF, yet only 42000 people attended. I guess their lack of...
On a side note:
Anonymous Person; do you really consider representing Tonga and City/Country games as "representative" football in the true sense of the word? I understand that they are technically representative matches according to a dictionary (or the seemingly beloved wikipedia), but...
