Henjack is doing well, but time will tell. He and the boys are positive, one thing that seemed to be missing from the WB days. I think the new generation of players are keen to do well, where as some of the older ones were just keen to be broncos, so perhaps henjack has done something on that front.
I loved the way the boys are enjoying playing footy again, the young guys are really making the most of the form they are in. With the off laods, the support play, speed of youth and the creativity these guys are showing, the team hasn't looked so positive for as long as I can recall. Well done...
Rock & Flutterby,
I have watched the Broncos since day one, so yes I did see the 90's come and go. And YES the results were good, great even, hell there were some good times in the 80's and also since 2000, I fully agree and have said so a number of times... thats not the point or at least it's...
I agree with Coxy, there is far more to life than money, and I am sure some parts of his heart big petro would have loved to have stayed and played on with brisbane then suffer away with the panthers. Perhaps he'll be back for one last charge...
I don't think we're seeing the end of an empire, I for one don't think there was an empire to start with... what there was was a glorious run of years where a series of the world's greatest players followed one another to a club and from time to time managed to string together some great...
Re: Israel Folau wants out... I'll show him the door.
Sadly no Rock, Bellamy I'm afraid is not only a great recruiter, but also a bloody good coach.
I can say this because of the simple fact that the Storm, a Bellamy coached side have been the number one side week in and week out for almost...
I know its popular to bag who ever knocks WB or the broncos, but theres some pretty good points being made. The writing is on the wall, the broncos have some great results but have been founded on the backs and abilities of rare individuals on very little to do with the coach or game plans...
Re: Israel Folau wants out... I'll show him the door.
I don't think WB is or ever was anything grand as a coach of a football team... what he has always been is a great recruiter of players. We all like to say how great the broncos did under him, BUT any team with one of the world's best...
I agree, WB did as much harm as good.
Cullen does need to go, Henjack can stay on till a real coach comes on offer, but we NEED some forwards!!!
With our backs and handy halves, a good pack has us flying again.
I think all of u who are going on about Locky not being up to it or that he is playing poorly a freakin crazy. Put him behind a pack that actually makes some metres and with some backs that can catch the ball and run a line, and he'd be on fire. You can't lead when you're always going backwards...
I can't believe some of you have the hide to call him selfish and to suggest that he is past it because he isn't killing it at club level... the broncos have a very poor pack and a very weak back line due mass injuries and poor recruitment, and yet again you blame Lockyer. You get our pack to...
As someone who has seen Lewis, Langer and Lockyer play their careers I think it really is impossible to split them.
Lewis had a huge kick, a great passing game and rock solid if not brutal defence, plus an ability to always get a little bit more out of those around him.
Langers short kick...
I hope the likes of Kenny never get a rep call up, it cost us too much oney and wrecks the club by driving us into a slump. If he wasn't a bronco he wouldn't even be being discussed and this same atitude has had our players called up for years when they don't deserve it. For the sake of the club...
Year in review.
WB leaving was in the end a good thing as it allows the club to remove some of his culture while we still have the players to rebuild. That good old WB magic wasn't getting it done anymore and better he go out or at least from this club while we are still somewhere near the top...
This season wasn't really any different to that many over the last 20 years, we lost too many games that we should not have, we were lucky to win some games that we did... and the vast majority of our success is based on one or two players getting to done while the rest of the team comes along...
No Hunt! means our passion may take a dive.
Kemp has speed... but ehat else?
Yow yeah might improve.
Falou needs to get back on the wing or pick his act up big time.
Hodges is good, but his atitude is crap most of the time.
Antonio W, needs to improve or be replaced.
Locky needs a 1/2 to play...
