It would be an absolute disaster PR-wise if the Raiders made Milford sit out 2014, especially when you consider that Ricky Stuart left Parramatta two years early because of similar family issues to Milford.
I don't know why so many people are expecting something to happen tomorrow. I thought Milford had said to Ayoub that he will not be sorting out anything contract-related until he returns from the World Cup. I don't think any progress will be made until early December.
Whether Stuart left the Eels for family reasons or not, Peter Sterling summed it up when he said that 2013 was a wasted year for Parramatta. Stuart came in, effectively sacked 12 players and then left.
It's like the captain of the Titanic fell asleep at the helm, Stuart came in and steered it...
Don Furner's been whinging about the Broncos' signing heaps of players from South-East Queensland. How dare they steal players who come from the area their club is based in!

Hey, last year Stagg and Prince were our only non-QCup signings. This year we've bought the 2012 Dally M medallist, a brilliant young front rower, a perfectly-good backup backrower, a great young winger and a not-too-bad winger/centre. These are perfectly good signings. I don't see "they will...
I just thought it would be hilarious if the Kiwis win the world cup and Stephen Kearney says, when receiving the trophy: "I would like to thank Anthony Griffin for the influence he has given me as a coach. Under his tutelage I believe I have become a far better coach than I was at Parramatta...
Remember the speculation when the Dragons tried to sign Craig Bellamy? There were loads of people suggesting that Smith would become Melbourne's captain-coach!
1. Corey Norman - no explanation needed
2. Nathan Merritt - a decent finisher, and nothing more
3. Chris Lawrence - has he ever done anything brilliant?
4. Josh Morris - not really an attacking dynamo
5. Krisnan Inu - see Morris
6. Josh Reynolds - Andrew Johns' biggest man-crush. I think he's a...
Congratulations to Corey Parker on a fine season. A well-deserved prize for a player who always gives 110%.
After being awarded the RLW Player of the Year accolade and being named the Dally M Lock of the Year in 2013, I'm sure this is his greatest achievement.
