Even the Broncos website is admitting that our side last year was shite: Parker - This Is Different - Broncos
For the record, here's a direct comparison between the final we played last year versus this year:

If all the players who were 'in doubt' missed this game, then we wouldn't be seeing Morgan, Thurston, Parker, Hunt or Glenn on Saturday night. The term is thrown around so much these days that it's lost all meaning.
I went to a pre-season training session at Purtell Park at Bardon a couple of years ago. I just kept well away from the group when they were training (while still watching them) and got a few signatures when they were done.
I talked to most of the squad and they were perfectly open and...
Dobbo also saying that Morgan will be playing but will be unable to kick during the match. Seems legit Dobbo, give JT more work to do, that'll get NQ over the line.
He's also reporting that the medical staff are "disappointed" in Corey Oates because he injured Hunt accidentally. Again, WTF...
Looking at our squad, I think Vidot, Reed, Milford, Blair, Gavet and Parcell are the only players who weren't brought up in the Broncos junior system/U20's (open to corrections).
It's ridiculous that people criticise the Broncos for 'stealing' Milford when most of our squad is home-produced...
I hope the media keep writing us off. The more the Telegraph and the 'experts' keep saying we don't have the goods, the more this side will be fired up and motivated come finals time.
As much as I want recognition of our credentials from NSW critics, nothing short of winning the Grand Final...
Bennett mentioned to the press this week that he doesn't care that every 'expert' is writing us off. Before tonight's game on Triple M, Ray Warren (who I shouldn't listen to anyway) said that he didn't realise the Broncos were a good side this year until they beat the Dragons last week.
You...
I think that every time one of our players picks up a niggle before the finals, Bennett will rest them. We have a confirmed top 4 spot, that means we are already in prime position for a great finals run.
It will be interesting to see the side Bennett fields against the Storm in terms of...
Re: Round 23 - Broncos vs Bulldogs
I think we underestimated how important Blair is to this team, especially with McGuire missing. The forwards looked tired in the 45th minute.
McCullough's increased his defensive workload enormously over the last couple of seasons and I for one am more than happy with that aspect of his game.
Attacking-wise, sure, he's not the most explosive player, but he's solid as a rock under pressure. "Solid" may not be the biggest compliment...
I went for Vidot for the bonus metres he offers but it's great that the side has these sorts of dilemmas. We currently have three wingers, Kahu, Vidot and Maranta, in great form and can only pick two of them.
We're no longer contemplating dropping Jack Reed, who has been outstanding at centre...
The Broncos are currently on a 6-game winning streak and don't play a side in the top 8 for three weeks (Bulldogs @ Suncorp). Before then, we have two straight home games against the Tigers and Titans before we face Manly in Gosford.
I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I don't see us winning...
Don't forget that he had already been playing for 70-odd minutes. To produce that run with such little petrol left in the tank was a miracle in itself.
