Anyone seen the bullshit nrl.com player ratings? For NSW, they are as follows:
If no one apart from the injured Hoffman earned a rating lower than a five, how did they let in fifty points? Woods somehow got a 7/10 despite conceding three first-half penalties which were detrimental to his team...
Don't forget that the Broncos signed Milford in late 2013, after which the Raiders offered him bigger contracts for eight months. Canberra offered him $1M because it was far more than what the Broncos could hope to offer him, as good as he is/was, not 10% more.
Last night, Mat Thompson called a Broncos game for the first time this year. Although he's far from perfect, I thought he was easily better than Hadley or Gilbert.
Would everyone else be in favour of him becoming the regular Queensland caller for Channel Nine?
Not since Round 2, 2009 have the Broncos beaten a Storm side containing Cameron Smith. If you want to be cynical and say that that doesn't count because of a dodgy try, the last time the Broncos genuinely beat a full-strength Melbourne side was the 2006 Grand Final.
If Vidot is in the side, he's less likely to want to leave. If we can keep him until June 30, he's ours for the rest of the year, since that's the date that clubs have to finalise their lists by.
I thought it was a good summary of Boyd's life, both publicly and personally. With that sort of upbringing, you aren't going to have a totally normal life.
I'm really happy for him and his wife that Darius is now in a good place. I'm thrilled that they're having a baby, but why does its date...
I only saw the 12-minute highlights reel, could someone please enlighten me about Blake Austin's Gallen-esque behaviour? It sounds to me like he was trying too hard when he had his hands on the ball and complained to the ref when something didn't go the Raiders' way.
It's not a big issue. It's just another small reason to hate NSW for claiming that Queensland's first SOO legend is really a blue.
This is just a small example of the arrogance of the NSWRL and, what the hell, NSW in general. It's hardly sufficient motivation to win Queensland a series, but...
This pretty much sums up why I hate NSW...

I don't know why NSW would want to claim Beetson anyway. He won several series against them as...
I'll certainly be watching. I'm happy for Darius that he has (seemingly) put his troubles behind him. I'm sure that becoming a better man will also make him a better footballer.
I haven't seen much of the game, but a scoreline of 8-5 tells its own story.
I have to say though, that was another game to add to the "we would have lost that last year" list, alongside the Roosters and Warriors games (Sharks and Eels games as well if we're being really harsh). Under Griffin...
My insider informs me that Copley is carrying a small injury. No idea why the Broncos are covering it up, but Wayne Bennett does what Wayne Bennett wants. At least I trust his judgement, rather than the team sheets under Griffin, which had me pulling out hairs every week. (Wallace to hooker...
Vidot's post on Facebook after he wasn't picked in Round 1 showed that he has a great attitude - he just said something along the lines of "I'm really disappointed but will work hard to get back into the team." He just copped it on the chin.
I have nothing against the bloke, I just hop he can...
I think the Cowboys and Titans might have something to say about being the "Heart of Queensland" - it reminds me of how South Australians hate the Adelaide Crows for saying "We're the pride of South Australia!"
Not too cringe-worthy, but a premiership would be nice to give the "We're the finest...
Josh McGuire received another charge from the judiciary today for a careless high tackle. It's not his first offence and it certainly won't be his last.
It made me wonder - is it worth having a player prone to the occasional on-field misdemeanor if that player's fieriness and toughness is key...
