A good summer for Marsh and he’s locked himself in for another rubbish 10-20 tests. Bloke has a record worthy of the Bangladeshi/ Zimbabwean side but is seemingly the first picked for Aus…
Lol he's come out and said in an interview that he's excited to come to the club and rejected other offers because he wanted to play for the Broncos. I dno why the phins (allegedly the only club offering big money for him) would want the NRL to force him on them at this point?
And lol at a 26...
Why not bring Johnson in? Abbott and Doggett are bog average. Boland will play, but a 35 year old quick joining an already ageing side isn’t exactly future proofing the squad.
Hetho needs to be playing big minutes (like close to 80) or he isn’t worth holding onto imo - he doesn’t bring enough impact off the bench. Hopefully madge can figure out how to make that work, whether that be starting in the second row and moving to the middle, or pat playing prop and hetho 13.
Inglis, Webster, Johnson, O'neill (don't know much about him, but his stats are unreal), Konstas (if he goes big in shield), Davies all need to be in the mix for the second test. It'll be the same 11 tho
The nrl are a joke if they try to force us to pay 800k under the cap. Obviously it’s garbage journo speculation at this point, but it would be a move that would force him to the phins. Three clubs were offering Hunt 500-600k (if you believe the rumours), that’s what he should be worth otherwise...
They didn’t have Williamson either. They also have that freak Jamieson to come back in as well.
Edit: I doubt we make any changes this series, it’s just not how our selectors have operated over the past 30 years. The series will come down to which side’s batting is in worse form.
It’s sad how Smith looks to be completely cooked. There are also signs that the old Marsh is back and last summer was a flash in the pan: we can’t afford to carry him
Starc’s opening spell was unreal. Just unplayable delivery after unplayable delivery.
The Indian batting unit are currently continuing on their nz form.
The clubs that get tougher draws due to favourible TV matchups should get a higher salary cap. They're bringing in dollars for the NRL and more draw more eyeballs: surely you want them to have a better 17 for the spectacle????
If he cares about his legacy and wants to give himself the best chance of winning a comp he'll sign with us. We just have to pray that he sees it that way and doesn't buy into the BS the spin masters at the dogs and rorters (who are both no chance of competing with riff, storm, or us if we play...
