oh and golden try.. im not for it. i think just have an extra ten minutes. i dont like teams losing all structure and games turning to a scrap heap chasing elusive points. i think ten minutes extra, allowing teams to perhaps stick to their normal gameplan and grind it out for another ten minutes.
i just dont think an extratime loss should be regarded the same as a loss in the regular 80 mins. take the extreme example Souths (who else) getting flogged by 30, and then a top of the tale clash going into extra time, decided by a field goal. i dont think its justified that an extra time loser...
Firstly, i see absolutely nothing wrong with a draw as the final result in a 'regular season' match. I think splitting the points is perfectly fair and may lead towards a less congested ladder, possibly resulting in less teams with an inferior win/loss record making the 8.
