There is a 1% chance of us winning this game. I'd be happy if we don't get blown off the park.
But f**k me this has been a disgusting schedule to start the season.
Storm (A), Roosters (A) (H), Rabbitohs (A), Raiders (A). Manly, Sharks, Wests. 8 games against the current top 8 before round 10...
This is a great point. I think the only top choice he's landed during his tenure was Wayne in 2014. Every other big name we've gone after, player or coach, has been a big no.
Broncos Weekly is the best podcast out. One bloke knows what he's talking about and the other offers some comic relief. It's a good combination.
Broncos Podcast is funny for a piss take.

The one this week with Staggs is worth a listen. I was in stitches with the Oates one.
Roosters were hot favourites to win the title coming into the finals, I believe they were even favourites with the bookies going into this game too. First kick of the game Darbs picks off SKD and the beatdown was on from there. Great game & great night. Probably the best performance this club...
I'm the biggest Pangai fan out there, but geez he's really shitting the bed this year in his quest for a huge, long-term contract. Would be lucky to get extended with us on somewhere near the money he wants at this point.
There's a real long-term core building here, and it feels good.
Forwards: Lodge, TPJ, Fifita, Joe, Haas, Flegler, Carrigan
Backs: Dearden, Staggs, Oates
Keeping most of that together and shuffling other pieces well should lead to some serious long-term success.
If we just had Queenslanders we'd have a fucking hopeless team. There isn't the talent in Queensland alone when EVERY club dips its toes in up here, especially those c**** in Melbourne. It's not like the old days where it was Broncos or Sydney. Now its Broncos, Sydney, Melbourne, OR GC or...
I honestly don't think anyone is safe at this point in time, apart for a few:
Locked Down
- Haas
- Carrigan
- Ofahengaue*
Top Young Talent:
- Dearden
- Fifita
- Flegler
- Staggs
Club should do all it can to lock these guys down long term (already the case for Haas).
Contract value (couldn't...
I can't be the only one who doesn't particularly rate Turpin. Willing to give him a shot but fk, this could be dire.
2 more losses in the next 2 weeks and we're cooked (if not already). Time to go full on rebuild then.
We could, but we seemingly don't want to.
We can outbid anyone. But, perhaps because BBL is a public company as opposed to private, we never seem to really open the purse strings on a big hire. The capacity is there to pay $2m+ for a coach and then perhaps go beyond if the Roosters or whoever...
Fixed that for you. The way he bent down to try and pick up the kick that Cody Walker eventually scored off looked like a 70 year old with crippling arthritis.
His speed is also flat out not there anymore. His body has really given up on him. He doesn't have the athleticism to play first grade...
I think there is truth in just about both sides of the story.
Wayne carried on like a pork chop last year. Some of the stories I have heard, and happen to believe, point to tre being a need for him to be sacked.
Wayne is also undoubtedly still an excellent football coach. He is the GOAT...
I think it's beginning to be fairly clear what is wrong with us.
The core of the club is fairly rotten. It has been slowly going that way under White. Everything is done to a below-excellence standard. Second-rate has become accepted. And none of it is a problem, because at the end of the day...
Did we?
I also don't think Melbourne are all that this year. If it wasn't for refs assistance they'd have home losses to Canterbury & Warriors on the books.
Seriously? The last thing Nikorima gives off is the ‘giving it his all’ vibe. By all reports he’s a locker room cancer with a shit attitude and that shows on the field. His blatant refusal to defend is a key indicator.
