As long as we're in the running for the 8 he'll stay but if we're out of it I would hope they promote Ahearn to get him experience for next year, but with our final 6 games (4 at home) all very winnable it does offer the chance for the Raiders traditional even year late season charge. So even...
I'm guessing cause the Broncos weren't trying to keep Norman. It's not uncommon for commentators to say they'd like to see players stay with the club that developed em when there's a fight for their service, been saying it a lot about Tedesco as well.
Take Campo out and Robo has been poor this year but add Edwards and Boyd, much to my surprise even Buttriss has been looking decent this year. Papalii my guess came back from injury too soon.
Was bloody disgusting, anyone could see the strapping on his knee. Thankfully it was supposedly only a handful of people.
On the Campo debate he is going poorly, he either needs to start running or step aside so Cornish can come in. As for Wighton he's developing nicely and no comparison to...
Love Campo, his passion and love of the club but he's never been a great organiser and while a long kick never been the most accurate and lacks a short kicking game, many want Cornish to replace him for those reasons plus his reluctance to run which was always his strongest suit.

If the NRL will top up the extra for union/AFL players etc then it would need to be done in a draft situation, wooden spoon gets first pick sort of thing or its yet another cap concession that blows the whole point of the salary cap.
My fear with rewarding code hoppers is its likely to entice more players to try it, grab ridiculous money in rugby for a year or 2 and use it as a bargaining tool to get more than you're worth to return to league.
Re: Darren Lockyer urges the NRL to show AFL convert Karmichael Hunt the money
Can't let them hold the NRL to ransom though, why should they earn above what they're worth simply cause they couldn't handle it in the code they jumped ship to play in for ridiculous money. Have to look at the...
Re: Darren Lockyer urges the NRL to show AFL convert Karmichael Hunt the money
Sorry I'm not so naive to not believe this is about getting him back to the Broncos.
As I said let the Khunt rot in reserve grade if he's just after the money.
Re: Darren Lockyer urges the NRL to show AFL convert Karmichael Hunt the money
League didn't miss him, Izzie, Lote, Sailor, Rogers etc. for everyone league loses we have more come through the ranks. Let Khunt rot in reserve grade AFL unless he wants to come back for the right reasons.
Re: Darren Lockyer urges the NRL to show AFL convert Karmichael Hunt the money
So the Broncos have spent too much money buying players they want the NRL to chip in so they can buy another:laugh:
