Mwuuhahahaha.
But seriously, the Broncos will retain quality exposure in prime value markets regardless of the outcome of this ordeal, and whilst that is the case sponsors will still be prepared to pay the dollars to have their brand put out there.
Agree with this. I don't think sponsorship considerations should enter into the decision-making here. Regardless of the outcome we will not have any trouble securing sponsorship dollars as long as we have a monopoly over the Brisbane market.
It's shit like this that makes me realise how crazily different the NRL is to overseas sporting competitions. To those in this thread that follow the EPL - Joey Barton anyone?
I'm not condoning what they have done nor saying it is acceptable. I just don't think it constitutes sackings or players being stood down in a finals series. Let's face it, this is significantly less severe than what was being thrown around yesterday. It's gone from rape, to sexual assault, to...
If the reports are true and the players involved are sacked I will be seriously pissed off. Sexual assault is disgraceful and if such an act was committed I would want them sacked yesterday, but what is being described at this point should not be a sackable offence IMO.
