Maybe it's because I'm an old fart but to me it's immoral to engage in any form of sexual act in a public toilet. That it was three on one makes it worse. I guess some of us just have higher standards and expectations than others.
If as seems probable, Hunt, Thaiday and Boyd play on Saturday night I will find it impossible to give them my support. I'll still be at the game but I'll probably still be in a state of shock and just sit there quietly. No cries of "Go Darius". Imagine the crowd reaction when they ran onto...
We cannot retain players who engage in this sort of immoral behaviour. If we do the younger fans and junior players will latch on to this and see it as ok to behave this way if you're a good player. If the likes of Webcke, Civoniceva and Lockyer were offered the opportunity to engage in...
Whether it was fully consensual or partially consensual is irrelevant in my opinion. If they were borderline NRL standard players I have no doubt they would be sacked. If they escape with their careers intact the club will lose fans, sponsors and general community respect. They must be shown...
I am stunned that Wade McKinnon was not sent off for spitting at the touch judge. Hearing live what the touch judge reported to the referee he was obviously in no doubt about what happened. Players have been sent off on touch judge/video referee reports in the past. Why not on this occasion...
The game today is basically winning the wrestle/ruck and dominating possession and territory through minimal errors and good discipline. Quick play the balls for us, slow play the balls for them, no silly penalties and no handling errors.
Latest news is that the assault involved two guests at Bird's house. The injuries suffered by the woman were quite serious. It seems she was hit in the face by a broken glass/bottle. There is no suggestion that Bird was involved either in the assault or with the woman. Heard on 2GB just now.
Not a lot between Manihera and Robinson IMO. Doesn't really matter that much which one we go for. Both are adequate without being great. Neither have blinding speed or are classy finishers. Despite this I don't believe we should be promoting anyone from the 20's or Q Cup at this stage...
We need two wins to be safe. The Bulldogs will be one. Hopefully we get over the Titans so we don't have to rely on a last round victory. The Titans with Princey back and the carrot of a first finals appearance in the offing will be tough. I guess I am quite concerned about the possibility...
Ben Hannant has played in a winning origin series and gained a new contract. He has now decided to relax on the field, take it easy and avoid any chance of injury and bask in what he has achieved rather than continuing his good early season efforts.
Something needs to be done to stop time wasting at scrums. For much of the game the two packs just stand around for a minute or two having a drinks break before forming. It also bugs me when late in the game the team that needs to score rushes any 6 players to the scrum and the ref blows time...
