From what I hear the Broncos have wanted him back for a while. The last I heard was a certain officer at the Broncos flew down to Sydney specifically to recruit him back. At that point he told this person "where to go".
If that's true I'd love to know what's happened since then!
I didn't see the game myself but my mate at the game said Davis's performance in the first half was the most dominant display he has seen from a halfback at any level.
I'll never know why a few people would be hating on Vidot. 19 runs for 183 metres. He was one of the main reasons we got to good field position early in the second half but the other blokes couldn't capitalise. I thought Vidot was our best overall.

I actually spent a week at the Broncos in 2001 as part of work experience for school. Spent most of the week with Matty. He was such a good bloke and would not stop all day. Getting thousands of jerseys signed for raffles etc. Great to see him getting recognition for his work.
I've always had a theory that it is a lot easier for ESL forwards to adapt to the NRL than backs, because the ESL is a lot more one-out and forward orientated type of game. Less reliance is placed upon skill from the playmaking halves and fullbacks. My theory could well be wrong as I am not...
I actually thought Hoffman played well last night, just not as a modern day 5/8th. It was a bit of a Shaun Berrigan type performance - looked like he had no pinpointed task, just did what he knows how to do. Came up with some good runs and big defensive plays. If he had a halfback next to him...

Does anyone have a link to the Dally M leaderboard? Looks as if JT got off to a good start...
