So true. They certainly do push the envelope in slowing it down and basically challenge the refs each tackle as you said. If they do have a run of penalties against them they have the stamina and attack to withstand it.

There are many assistant coaches running around in the NRL who would put their hand up, who is the best qualified, that is something that would need weeks worth of interviews and analysis, hardly something as a supporter that I could do.

That is an understatement. You could probably argue that the hiring of the coach also falls under recruitment in which case it could prove to be a double wammy.
Normally it is the case that one, two or even a few players go through patches of bad form.
The problem that Brisbane has at the moment is that there are several players in that boat and the fact that they look tired and in some cases over weight, add to that the fact that there is still people...
