I havn't bothered reading too many of the previous posts so excuse me if I cover old ground. No doubt like all of us to lose a game after such a great comeback was heart breaking and I'm gutted. Still, I think there were so many reasons why we put ourselves in that postion.
1.Winterstein has...
This thread should be blocked unless it is in keeping with the respect that is due to a great Queenslander and League supporter. He was a man that did great things and that has a family that is in morning right now, have some respect.
I actually pretty happy the Broncos didn’t win the game against the Panthers, why? Because they didn’t deserve it, they were off their game and they needed to lose to realise that if you’re going to compete against the top side then you have to earn it. They played pretty poorly, that’s not to...
Well lets just say I know people and I'm not paying full retail and it will cost me less than the 76cm CRT TV I brought 6 years ago, go figure, and I brought that for mates rates. (If you want a good deal, send me a message I can score you Samsung at the best price icon_thumbs_u )
Well I am getting my new 55" LCD LED HD 3D Samsung TV in 2 weeks. Did I buy it for the footy? No, but the fact that they are telecasting it in 3D is an advantage, but not the deciding reason. I think many of you are missing the point of 3D. firstly the new 3D TV's are top of the line 2D HD TV's...
Ok, maybe not forgotten, but certainly has been out of mind. I was only thinking the other day when I heard that he'd been left out of the Wallaby side and the thought had crossed my mind on him as the perfect replacement for Lockyer. Then I read this on the Foxsports site...
I dunno mate, the AFL are planning on topping up the offer, $1,000,000 plus is gonna be hard to turn down. You'd think that the AFL would pay more for Inglis than Falou as he is rated higher. Can't see how the Broncos could even get near what they would table. My thoughts is that he is gone.
Ok, I have an idea. All contracts need to be signed off and approved by the NRL, so this would be a two fold process. Firstly any club wanting to buy a player needs to show the NRL that they can afford them and how they will fit them into the salary cap. (Maybe that’s being done now not sure)...
If you want to make headlines in Victoria all you need to do is say "we looked at a number of AFL players to approach, but couldn't find anyone capable of playing League so we looked elsewhere”.
Too many rumors are going around at the moment not to suggest that the Storm won't be the only club to lose their points this season. http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/nrl ... 5867878697
Not that I want any of this to happen, but it shows that the NRL must overhaul the salary cap. Just on this...
I'm not 100% sure about this side...
1. Slater - Not in doubt
2. Tuqiri - Even though Boyd is playing well and was there last year I think Tuqiri adds size and is a big game player.
3. Tonga - Shouldn't be in doubt
4. Inglis- Not in doubt
5. Falou - Not in doubt
6. Lockyer- Not in doubt
