Re: Storm refusing to release Inglis....
I think this will definately make Inglis think twice when the Storm try to get him back in 2 years. They should cut their loses because all they are doing is ruining their chances, which is great for us.
Inglis might cost the Titans 500k, but let's be honest here, he'd be worth 3 times that the club, any club, in terms of bums on seats, sponsorship ect.
As much as I am a Broncos fan, I am a league fan as well, and my head says I hope he goes to the Titans, it would boost league on the gold...
If we lose Winterstein we have the players to replace him on the wing. Whilst I'd prefer to keep him, we can't keep everyone and outside backs we are certainly not lacking in.
In all honesty good luck to Michaels. He was great for us when in form and on the wing where he belongs, attack wise he can play centre, defense wise no way in hell. Answer for the Titans might be to switch him to centre in attack and wing in defense. About the only problem I have with...
Our play the balls have been slow for a long time, problem is now teams are exploiting the fact that we get up slowly when in attack, and get up quickly when defending. We keep letting teams get a roll on by allowing them quick play the balls, it leaves us very exposed.
Folau has said he may still stay playing for the broncos, and that's fine, I just hope we don't offer him more money that he was already on to keep him. And I don't want us to wait till he decides what he is doing before we go after anyone else. Personally I'd like to see us chase 2 forwards...
I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with something Gould said a few weeks ago. Lockyer's Broncos team mates are hindering his options, they are rushing up at times in attack to quickly, some of the bigger men are cutting down his options leaving him only 3 very limited choices, give it to...
I remember all the no no comments when Lockyer got shifted to 6, if he gets shifted back it wont take him long to have people eating humble pie again.
As for the agility and speed comments, I'm sorry must have been watching a different K Hunt play for the Broncos, because he wasn't any faster...
Gezz we always seem to cop teams that will not be affected by origin without our stars every year. We seem to always get a combination of the Tigers, Souths, and Sharks.
If only we can get the NRL to put us on he same cap the dogs seem to have. The current dogs side has about 4 home grown players in there side, and when El Masri goes, that become 3 seeing as they have bought a replacment.
Webcke and Petero were never on what Taylor wanted at his age.
Taylor is still inconsistant, two good games in ayear doesn't make a great player, and doesn't make a player consistant. Let's see how he goes next year, and the year after that. I don't think we should sign players to huge...
Our season is over
Henjak has to go along with Michaels, Winterstien and any other player that thinks constant stupid shoulder charges are great tactics in defense.
I don't know what games you're watching, but I've seen us have a poor kicking game in matches where our forwards have had plenty of go forward ect. We aren't kicking to spaces, we aren't kicking very long, we are constantly giving the opposition back three too much time and room with them...
What we need is our kicking game sorted out. No forwards can dominate when you have two rep standard halves kicking like crap. We are either kicing down the throat of the opposition back three or barely making any ground with our kicks, half the time it's both. No teams forwards can do...
Depends if you want to look short term or long term.
I prefer to do both, but in the case of developing young players, long term. Taylors form in the NRL has been to up and down, very inconsistant. It's going to take alot ofwork to get him to the standard required to play at a consistant...
If I was Henjak Michaels would be in the QLD to find form, Yow Yeh would be outside Hodges and Folau would be playing centre with Winterstien outside him. Also Dave Taylor wouldn't wear Broncos colours on the field for the rest of the year. I refuse to see how the Broncos using him this year...
here is a curve ball people might not have thought about
The Wolfman from Manly, off contract, move Hodges to fullback, throw the wolfman outside folau
There are plenty of options
1 - Lockyer
6 - Wallace
7 - B Hunt
1 - Hodges
4 - Folau
5 - Yow Yeh
1 - Hoffman/Yow Yeh
1 - Buy some one run the risk of losing Yow Yeh, Winterstein or another bright young player.
