I said this after the news about Gavet came out, but I don't see him having a future at the club. He was a round 1 roughie who Bennett obviously liked better than Garbutt, Dodds or Wallace at the time (and Bennett signalled early the Ofehengaue was a project player for 2015).
Let's not forget...
We're in the finals. Probably top 4. The result of this next period is irrelevant. The effort and execution is important.
The Doggies game was there for the taking, but we made stupid mistakes.
This weekend is where we have to take a stand. Where the rut stops. Back to basics where we were...
Copley... he's a bit of an enigma this year..
Kahu and Maranta have clearly leap frogged him in their performances.
I'd rather Oates if he's fit.
Copley is dicey under the high ball, so I'd be reluctant to put him out there for Kahu to come into the centres.
Congrats Hodgo. Let's save the celebration and ceremony until after the GF :-)
PS Bennett doesn't **** around does he? One shocker from the old dog and he's been given the talk.
Could be a little late season spark.
You can belt a coach for failing to have a contingency plan, but the past two weeks are just unlucky.
McGuire and Gavet long term injured (props 1 and 3 at the start of the season) and Blair suspended (prop 2).
Back to a healthy roster, Ofehengaue and Wallace are the future - especially...
We should beat the Dragons though.
Terrified of a 40-0 drubbing from one of Souths or Roosters.
One of us is walking away from that game finished mentally for the season.
The Broncos have been consistently good over 20 weeks of the comp.
No other team has been consistent.
The usual suspects have suffered through:
Souths - premiership hangover, loss of Adam Reynolds, life without Sam Burgess
Roosters - life without SBW
Manly - off field drama
Storm -...
Requirement for a replacement for Hodges > requirement for untested halves and utility hookers (where we have Hunt, Milford, McCullough and Nikorima brothers signed).
Great news. I was his harshest critic in previous seasons but he's got guts (willing to throw himself into awkawrd places) and innate talent that will flourish with more experience and confidence.
He and Maranta personify the Broncos' improvement as a squad in 2015.
Re: PRE-GAME - Round 22 - Canterbury Bulldogs
Bennett should pull out the 2005 coaching file and see what went wrong there.
Broncos dominated all year, post Origin we lost about 5 in a row and bowed out of the finals early (after losing to the Tigers and Storm I think).
Although we didn't...
Re: PRE-GAME - Round 22 - Canterbury Bulldogs
The same Broncos fans that walked out of the Titans game at 28-0 and about 15 minutes to go. We're sick of winning, we've got nothing to talk about.
Copley came back from 2014 pre-season absolutely in beast mode. 2015 he's struggled with injury and head knocks I think are much more mental than anything else.
Maranta and Kahu have improved from B-/C+ to B++/A- wingers.
To have Copley fit and in the wings is amazing depth at least for this...
Mentally so glad that this particular game was this week - I was at a wedding and missed the whole thing. Had a couple of people come up at halftime and say it was 20-0..
The highlights show me a red-hot, emotion charged Manly side scoring at least 4 all arse, typical Jamie Lyon tries before we...
Unfortunately mate (my jaded view) is that the judiciary form seems a bit more arbitrary. We think it was bad therefore we'll fit the definition somehow.
A bit like the video referees not understanding the burden of proof of "conclusive" and just making the TRY/NO TRY call based on their...
