Yeah I don't necessarily want him taking shit hit ups but would like to see him willing to take them or at least die with the ball as you say. I am not trying to bash the kid either as I think he is an exceptional talent. Just want him to develop the toughness/patience that Darren had.
We could always try Delouise Hoiter as a bench centre, wing, second row cover. At the least you could bring Katoni in to second row and place Hoiter in the centre. But I am not sure how he is going form wise or injury wise.
Not sure what is but he is definitely contact shy. He doesn't want to go down with the ball. Unsure if he is worried about missing Origin or the facial fracture made him gun shy. Maybe he has never liked contact. But the good teams will be honing in on it if he doesn't start taking on the line...
Exactly, this is the difference between contenders and pretenders.
We have had consistent bad luck with injuries this year. It's just the nature of footy. Reynolds must be close to retirement, I hate to say it but you would think he must be starting to consider if his body can actually go on...
Walsh having his worst game tonight. As much as he can win games he can lose them. He just has to stop trying to win the game every play. Build into it mate for peets sake.
Biggest game of the year so far tonight boys. The Vegas rematch and probably the first game since that squad has been together.
We are fully fit apart from niggles. It's a huge chance to stamp our dominance and propel us into the midseason.
The Roosters are first rate competition. We need to...
I think Mozer has some good examples of why not to go running off to other teams chasing a quick start.
Olaupu is the prime example, moves to play prefered position quickly, plays there too early, gets moved to the position that we told him is his best position, again before his body is ready...
Good to see you are still around @Huge. Doing well thankyou, hope you are also.
Yes, I do remember you are not above admitting any potential wrongs.
Any thoughts on the Broncos this year?
It's got me missing @Huge . Loved a good argument and would never give an inch.
The forum is smelling blood, Tiger blood. So a few are itching for it, good to see haha.
I think Kev has made the right call with resting Cobbo and Mam. Both have been playing well and are deserving of a rest to overcome niggles. Our Bench is the strongest we have had all year, having Sailor on the bench hasn't really added much but you could argue with Reynolds returning from...
The thing guys like Payne have to figure out and likewise our other young forwards is that if you take that huge deal either here or at another club, it will have a carry on effect. You will be playing with a team of spuds who you need to carry. You will win few games and be consistently at the...
A prop of Paynes calibre is a luxury. Possibly one you don't really need. If like you say you could spread his cost across two or three other quality props. We can obviously perform well without him. Patrick on the other hand is something else and in my opinion a much higher priority. But we...
From history Kev doesn't like starting his two best props if we are thin. He likes to keep somebody out there at all times who can own the middle and currently we have only Jensen and X . Baker ain't up to it unfortunately. I think he doesn't have the gas.
I bet it comes down to how Wayne interacts with his players. He allows things with some and manages them his way. It works for him and not many people can follow that.
The guys end up thinking this is what a coach should be or Wayne let me off here but now so and so doesn't have faith that I...
Wouldn't be surprised if he has been directed to add weight. Plus he has been very physical in defence which I think is being overlooked. I think he has been very solid for us so far.
