This is a bit late, but I wanted to give my thoughts. In my opinion, Bennett's coaching style is beginning to kick in. And that is the structure from Bennett's Dragons, defence over attack. Last year, because the team was still new they had more free reign, which means more variety in attack...
McCullough is vital to our defence but our depth is shit this year. We let go of parcell and the next best option we have is Waddell, who completely sucks. Injuries are crucial because of our lacklustre depth.
We didn't deserve to win that because of the first half. Cows, Eels and Storm would have pushed them right from the first minute and I don't think we're as consistent as those teams. A nice comeback though.
I understand but It's Newcastle, team 15th. I'm not going to gloat over how good the performance was. We beat a team that we were supposed to beat and did it comfortably, so the broncs ticked all the boxes tonight and that's all I can ask for.
I don't think it will be a blow out. Dragons will lift against Bennett and we'll fade out in the second half, eventually.
Broncos by 12.
But I wouldn't be surprised if we get beaten.
Take the two points and don't look back. I love winning but not the way we're doing it, excluding the cowboys game we've been average all season. It's frustrating as hell watching us struggle to close out games against average opposition.
Game over, pathetic. Premiership favourites, same team as GF, can't score a try against a depleted panthers side who griffin is the coach of. **** off.
