I don’t think it’s about money, no one actually leads the club, they instead manage it by siting back and allowing things to fester to the point that newscorp finally decide to take an interest and make a decision. The club is crippled by its ownership structure.

Given there were very little unforced changes all year I don't think anyone was too worried about losing their spot, which is an issue in itself. Piakura can miss 16 tackles in 2 weeks and doesn’t get dropped, not even benched.
