Madge out of the realistic options, but wouldn't be pissed if we got Hannay. Slater would be ideal if he could be convinced with an insane offer, but it won't happen.
Start a podcast with Billy and Gordie where they deathride the Broncos? Can chuck Parker in as a special guest (altho he did sound over the moon in an interview this morning so maybe he's back on board)
I know how he feels: I was also ‘blindsided’ that my club went from a grandfinal to looking like headless chooks with zero structure the instant we lost Arey and/or Walsh to injury
What are the chances that the nrl somehow deems this worse than failing a drug test, being caught on camera inhaling an illegal substance, or driving under the influence?
Possibly, but from what I’ve read blokes like Haas, Arey, and Walsh seem to really like Kev. Hopefully just the typical media lines players trot out, but losing Walsh would kill our future and can’t be allowed to happen.
Edit: that said, I trust that DD has already got Walsh sorted. The last...
Good news, someone like Madge has the ability to win us a comp next year. Coaches will be lining up for the job with the kind of squad we possess.
The only downside is if it costs us a big name player
If we want Trindall surely we're a good shot of getting him. Playing in a spine with Walsh, Mam, and Mozer vs having to carry Nicho (who is now spouting the Boyd 'there's more to life than footy' line right before a prelim) and Kennedy.
And who could forget the egregious cap rorting that not only invalidated two seasons, including spoiling one of the best underdog stories in 2009, but allowed for them to keep the core of their illegal team together after they were caught, in turn setting them up for success for the next 10+ years.
