Traditionally, the English forwards have been better over here than their backs. With no one of note seemingly off contract, are there any 2nd rowers the Broncos can target over there instead of getting "very far down the list" injury cover depth players like Gosiewski?
I said wait and see how the next season goes before, but I was expecting the Broncos to finish pretty strongly this year. If it continues like this, they need someone else next year.
Lol I booked a Europe trip in September and remember thinking of ways I could watch the Broncos play in the finals. Well, that problem has definitely been solved.
If the Broncos underachieve next year, he kinda has to go. If the management is as good as we think they are, they should be able to get a good replacement.
Glad they brought most of the Origin players back, it would have been tough without Walsh especially, and also Haas and Carrigan setting the platform before they just started running downhill with all the tries.
I mean Carrigan is clearly the best middle forward in the side, but yeah, it was ridiculous. Lindsay Collins has had MOTM level performances before , even giving him 10 more minutes to give Carrigan a breather would have been good, given that Collins only played 30, but I guess maybe he felt...
I think this game also showed how short drops outs are the way to go if you practice them. It took a while for the coaches to figure out getting the ball back > not getting the ball back. Its sort of like when they figured out that 3 points is better than 2 in basketball.
Its hard to win 3 in a row...we really got spoilt by that that dynasty.
QLD really gets affected by injuries more than NSW, just don't have the depth. Hopefully next year can be closer to full strength.
Not a great year footy wise. QLD losing, Broncos a huge chance of missing the top 8...maybe...
Thybulle would be the highest paid player in the side if he was there, right? Might have been left out for insurance reasons, maybe Australia doesn't want to pay that much if he's injured or whatever.
France's future looks really good.
Just in the last 2 years there has been a once in a generation player in Wembenyama, the top 2 draft picks this year, and a guy with huge raw potential in Bilal Coulibaly. Its hard to see Australia winning a medal anytime soon, USA, France and Canada are way...
