My problem with Macca and McGuire playing most likely 80 minutes is only one is a very good defender. Play Arrow with Macca and it gives you two good defenders out in the middle for most of the match.

I am concerned about our defence through the middle if McGuire is our lock. I would leave him at prop, Arrow at lock, Sims off the bench

If this is just about Langer he was brilliant and a crowd favourite but if you start comparing him to the other great players it becomes a bullshit thread as they are all great players with different strengths and weaknesses.

I would use him at lock this year, then let him go and bring Arrow in. Arrow is a better off loader and defender than McGuire will ever be. MCGuire has him on leg speed in hit ups. IMO McGuire is good but he thinks he is better than he really is.

If we are going untried then I would go for Duncan P. I thought he had a great kicking game and was the best of our organizing halves in the 20s. Bring him back from rugby

While I like Hunt you can only pay a million bucks for one half and Milford was always getting our money. I have been concerned we could not win a premiership with Hunt ever since he couldn't close out the U20s grand final. We now need to find a serviceable organizer not a million dollar halfback.

He was a standout from his first game of U20s at 17yo. He will go okay in first grade

TPJ would not have blown out a candle when he came off. He was spent. WB is building him up to better minutes
