I think they’ve sacked Holbrook out of the blue to give Hunt confidence that there’s an experienced coach there, he knows who the coach for the next 2 years will be and it doesn’t turn into a circus like the Dragons.
I’d say Hunt the the Titans has shortened considerably
It’s naive to think that a Brisbane team isn’t going target existing Brisbane players. If I was running The Dolphins that exactly what I’d do. A player can make more money and not have to uplift their whole lives.
Hindsight if Jason Demetriou had taken over as coach of the Broncos as Wayne Bennett had planned are the Broncos fortunes different?
JD has got the bunnies to a prelim understandably different teams but if JD is the Broncos coach are we performing better?
Why is there no media talk about Walsh coming to us early?
Is it because we don’t have the cap space or are we negotiating quietly without leaks and it will be announced shortly?
I would have assumed with us signing him next year it would make sense him coming here early if he’s being benched by...
What's the rule around drug testing in the off season? Can ASADA test them anytime whether its outside of the NRL comp or is it only during the season?
DD has also only been here for two months hardly enough time to change too much but in that time he's managed to sign Reynolds who surely wouldn't be here without DD.
To be fair as a developing player I'd join the Storm for less. Success means players will go to clubs for less and the chance to grow and win premierships.
Broncos apparently "favourites" to sign Reynolds according to Laurie Daley

Anyone else feel these coaching stories (Wayne, Bellamy) are just smokescreens so the board can actually interview the candidates without too much fanfare?
Bellamy is never happening and when you read the story it's basically a few lines about the possibility of him joining 2022 and then...
Agreed. I also think inadvertently players would gravitate towards Wayne and his opinions and this may undermine the new coach if they weren't aligned on roles etc.
Theoretically returns to his old ways, Broncos decide they want to get rid of him but can't as he hasn't breached contract, another club will take him but only if we contribute a percent of his contract. Happens all the time
