Wayne Bennett back at the Broncos?
Huge news up on the SMH just now
Wayne Bennett to return in Brisbane Broncos shake-up
Wayne Bennett phoned Lachlan Murdoch on Sunday, convincing the News Corporation boss he could turn around the struggling Broncos, paving the way for him to be announced as...
Yea mate, had the same thought. If it's true, we could put a broom through the club.
Although, we did just re-sign Maranta yesterday, so perhaps the wrong players would end up getting tossed...
This is the most frustrating thing about Griffin, he seems to set a team in stone at the start of the year and show no willingness to change bar injury.
What has Hoffman done to show he should continue at 5/8th? What's the point of him developing there all year (and struggle) to not play there...
PREACH!
I just don't understand. Every week we dip off from the 60th onward, bench still doesn't get used.
He's worried about not having quality player's on the field, but we actually have a pretty decent bench compared to others in the comp. I'd rather a fresh Oates for 20-30 mins than a...
I agree with all of these points, and it's so painful that we all see things but they won't change.
There was nothing wrong with experimenting, Souths did the same thing at the start of the year with Walker, etc. But, if it's not working, things have to change.
Barba looks a broken man, we...
I think this is the performance we were all expecting from the start of the year, just frustrating we have played so well up until this dross.
Hoffman just can't be left at 5/8th, way too many defensive errors. If Hoffman isn't going to offer something with the ball in hand, I'd prefer a...
To be honest, I think they will find a way to pay him outside of the cap or appeal to the NRL to pay him.
Honestly believe clubs should be allowed to pay blokes like Yow Yeh their full wages and have it outside of the cap. His livelihood has most likely been ruined by that injury, he still...
Smith is worth every cent of the rumoured offer. We signed Barba and Milford on the cheap, we have every reason to throw the book at Cam Smith whilst we still can.
I have no doubt he will a top player well into his late 30s just like Lockyer. Smith's game isn't built around physical...
Only Ricky Stuart would be stupid enough to hold onto a player when they don't want to be there / have now confirmed departure.
I could understand if he was coaching a genuine premiership contender, keeping Milford would help push for the title, but it's pointless when you're in a rebuilding...
I am honestly not fussed about signing him for next year straight up - Sign him for 2015 as soon as possible and the rest will sort itself out.
If he has a clause, the NRL will let one of their brightest prospects move and play football, rather than rot in reserve grade because Canberra regret...
I don't want to go anywhere near him.
I've always thought him to be over rated, but the guy is dumber than the likes of Ferguson and Carney, just don't hear as much about him because he plays in a less popular code.
Very good signings in Mills and Vidot IMO. Both have pace and both great depth signings. Hopefully no more Maranta or using overly raw players like Drew.
Wish we went after Chad Townsend from the sharks as well though, very capable 5/8th who's off to the warriors instead.
Rome wasn't built in a day - he had shown the potential to be a 5/8th over his time at fullback. His trimming down and becoming leaner and fitter certainly isn't a bad thing for someone playing in the halves too.
