Hoping the same. For context, Shiba is 6 tries from 30 first grade games playing either centre or wing. He’s never scored in his 13 games for Brisbane. Massive plodder vibes. Deine is 22 tries from 27 nrl games. He’d wanna be the best defender we’ve seen to usurp Mariner imo.

I remember watching Riki this season and feeling better about losing Fifi cause we had this “gun”. Some years later and it’s actually really disappointing how little his game has developed.

Mariner is still a lock to start round one for mine. I wouldn’t read too much into it Shiba starting here.
