Plus, he's kicking it end over end and putting a lot of backspin on it, which means it's always going to float slowly downfield and sit up for the fullback/winger if he can manage to find the grass. I don't know, but to me, his technique just looks really awkward when punting it long - seems really focused on making sure when he drops the ball to kick, it goes where it's meant to, so he takes that little bit longer.
