No where near enough yellow on that jersey. But with regards to the game; patston was awesome, and has put his hand up in each of the trials. He wouldn't be a bad addition to cover second row. He showed some silky skills with a kick that led to a try and some soft hands, but is otherwise a no frills grafter which is the type of player I like. Ferguson was also really strong, and reminded me a little of hetherington (without the defence that cuts people in half though). Rogers was more involved than he was against wynumm and falls much better to. Te kura probably had his best game of the trials. Strong runs and PCMs. Still raw but improved. Mozer was pretty tidy around the ruck. He Led the line speed a lot, got involved in defence. I do think people are expecting a bit much from him. People expect that because he has wraps on him he should be busting teams open, making line breaks, laying on several try assists a game. Hooker is one of the hardest positions to come into as rookie. If he is causing some ruck deception, giving the ball runners some time, providing clean service and strong in defence, i am happy. He needs time. Walters and smoothy still our two best 9s at this time though. Hoeter also consistently good, and played fullback too. Out of the box idea, If kevie wanted to carry a back on the bench, I would be more inclined to go with hoeter. He covers the outside backs, but he is also a ball of muscle that is strong, runs a mean hard and fast line, and pretty good defender. Also a mature player. I think he could cover second row if riki or piakura needed a breather in a game. That is not to say if riki or piakura were out of a game through injury or suspension I would start him there, I would look at patston or hunt. But as a bench player you could do worse if kevie decides he wants to carry a back too.
