You've covered most of them, Philitoga is one of those blue chip players who could give Madge something to think about come the Origin period. 13 tries from 13 games in QCup, so he can finish off tries and he moves well. We'll see how he's taken to the pre-season, he's been picked ahead of Vaihu and Leota which could be a good sign - although it may say more about Leota than anything else. I'd like to see how he works the ball out of trouble, how he handles himself in defence and with kick diffusions. Also his decision making in space and whether he buys himself time or just pins the ears back and hopes for the best. West was the best colts player a couple of years ago and was a very handy replacement for Chester in QCup. I don't think he'll play NRL, but I think he's ready to make his mark in QCup. I just want to see how he handles himself with Maguire's structures, if he can break tackles and how he handles himself in defence. Otherwise Powell was the pick of the bunch. I harped on last year about the lack of Liam Henry esque signings and Powell is the type of player I'm thinking of. It's not great that he's been picked on an edge, but I'll still be looking to how he asserts himself physically and just how often he keeps himself in the play. Players like him have to take a note from Hosking and demand as much footy as they can possibly get. Of the young guns, I want Scott to turn heads. I'm impressed everytime I watch Horne play and wouldn't be shocked if he's playing NRL by 2026.
